Happy Birthday, Lavon!

Today we're celebrating the coworker we didn't know we needed! Lavon rolls in every morning with a smile, chatting with April and setting the tone for the whole day. He's got the kind of work ethic you can't teach, always turning around to talk face-to-face, jumping in to help everyone get the job done (even when we're being a little annoying about it, mainly Jadine 😅).

There's honestly a billion things we love. He's conversational, personable, and genuinely one of the good ones. It's such a relief having someone on the team who *knows what they're doing* — a talented artist, a wonderful designer, and an even better human.

Off the clock? The man fishes, knows how to homestead, and has a good story for just about anything. He's beat death itself and still finds time to cast a line.

On the work front, he gets client approval, learns new clients fast, bounces ideas around like a pro, and always has something ready to turn in.

Lavon, we hope your day is as awesome as you are. Happy Birthday from all of us!

Happy Birthday to our girl, Cheri!

Listen, we could write a novel about this woman, but we’ll keep it (somewhat) brief.

Cheri is the definition of a mullet in human form. Pure business during the day, absolute party at night. We wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s a workhorse who gets things done, a desk neighbor who somehow always has toothpicks, tea, or whatever random thing you need, AND she’s already climbed to the #3 spot on our office “best person to grab a drink with” leaderboard. She’s gunning for #1 and we respect the hustle.

She shows up dressed for the occasion, while the rest of us are just trying to match our socks. Fashion forward doesn’t even cover it. She brings the electric energy, the style, AND the attitude, and we are HERE for all of it.

But here’s the thing that really gets us Cheri is the first to check on you when you’re having a rough day, the first to show up with the cutest little treat when you need a pick-me-up, and genuinely one of the biggest cheerleaders any of us has ever had. She hypes people up like it’s her job description.

She’s joy wrapped in a good outfit with a side of “let’s get this done.”

We’re SO lucky to have you on the team, Cheri!

Gary: I don’t eat breakfast. I don’t eat bagels.
Katie: Awesome. What kind of bagels do you want for your birthday?
Gary: Stuff your bagels.
Katie: Gary I’m not ripping the team off from their rights to free birthday bagels. This is America. You work in an office and offices have birthday bagels. I didn’t make the rules, the UNIVERSE did.
Gary: I’m not a rule follower.

Ahhhhhh, peeps, has a truer statement ever been uttered in regards to our fave Gary Stewart.

I. Think. Not.

As we were going around the table saying our favorite things about Gary, there was a common theme. He will say it like it is. You know where you stand with him. He’s NEVER afraid to say what he’s thinking, take that as a good and bad. But he loves fiercely and every single person on our team has benefitted from him. He’s a gem and no one else on this planet could ever come close to filling his shoes.

Happy birthday sweet Gary. You’re loved beyond measure. And I saw you eat that bagel this morning ✌️👀
