“Sharing some fun selfie pictures from my visit to Miss Lou’s Babies Daycare in Gonzales on December 5th! 📸😊 This was my first time there, and I had an absolute blast with the kids… and even the dogs! 🐶
I wanted to share one special memory from that day:
As I pulled up in Rusty and parked out front, I was getting ready to head inside. A sweet young boy (maybe a second grader) came running up to my passenger window (it was rolled up), and he yelled, ‘Santa, you can come inside?!’ Then he turned and bolted back toward the building.
I started walking to the front door, but when I looked up, he had stopped halfway and was facing me again—with big crocodile tears streaming down his face. My heart just broke! I hurried over, knelt down, gave him a big hug, and asked, ‘What’s wrong, buddy?’
Through some deep sobs, he finally said, ‘I’m sorry… I got a B on my schoolwork yesterday.’ A few more breaths, then: ‘I never get B’s… I always get A’s. I’m so sorry.’
I reassured him that everything was going to be okay, that everybody has off days, and that he’d learned something to help him do even better next time. That little moment reminded me why I love doing this—it’s not just about selfies and smiles, it’s about the real connections. ❤️🎅
Thanks to Miss Lou’s Babies for the warm welcome—you all made it a day to remember!”

What an amazing group: employees, kids, parents, grandparents—young and old—all joining in with the biggest smiles, silliest crazy faces, and total holiday spirit! It was pure fun from start to finish.
I can’t thank everyone at the store enough for letting us have that much joy and chaos. There were so many great moments that this will definitely need a Part 2 to share all the pictures!

The tree farm is packed with fun things to do (check out the pictures from Part 1 to see what I mean!). I’ll try to stitch together a few short videos I have for Part 4.
A huge thanks to the amazing people at YSCTF for all their support and for making Rusty stand out in the crowd. You turned our classic ‘tree in the back of an old truck’ into something truly special!
