BREAKING Instagram news you need to know ⤵️

Instagram is always keeping us on our toes.
But YOU don’t have to stay on top of all the updates & new features…

That’s not your job…that’s OURS 🥳

In addition to monthly caption templates and live trainings, inside the Social Squad Society we keep our members up-to-date with all the new features + updates 🙌

Here are the 3 main updates:

✔️ALL VIDEOS WILL NOW BE REELS 🎞

Any new video posts that are shorter than 15 minutes will now be Reels so always always always shoot vertically. The 9:16 aspect ratio is ideal, so use your Stories or Reels camera when recording anything you plan to share as a video.

✔️4:5 GRID TESTING ↕️

Instagram is testing out a new 4:5 grid meaning thumbnails will no longer be displayed as squares, so soon the current 1:1 aspect ratio on your profile could be going bye-bye. So when sharing photos or graphics ALWAYS use aspect ratio 4:5. (Bonus Tip: This does not apply to Reels or Stories which have a 9:16 aspect ratio).

✔️SEARCHABLE MAP 🗺

There’s a new searchable map feature that allows users to explore popular tagged locations around them and filter location results by specific categories (think restaurants, salons, coffee shops, etc). PS…this is by far our favorite update.

The Instagram growth world is hella shady!

There are a lot of people out there trying to tell you how to grow on Instagram.
Most are spewing guru garbage.🤢

Saying you HAVE to
👉🏼Post 3 Reels a day, every day, at a certain time of day!

*eternal eye roll*

Here is the truth - it’s not that deep.

Doing it all is a one-way ticket to burnout, baby. You don’t HAVE to do anything. 🙅🏼‍♀️

If posting every day isn’t sustainable for you, don’t do it. If posting Reels makes your eyeball twitch, don’t do it.

Your social media strategy is important, but your sanity comes first.
