Isaak / Young Lord from ā€˜s Wayward Love Series has my whole entire paper heart šŸ’ŒšŸ“š

STILL! (And Iā€™m not about to argue with yall šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚)
Itā€™s been 4 years. That trope of ā€œThe Gentle G, and the Gentle is only for HER?ā€ šŸ¤šŸ½šŸ¤šŸ½šŸ¤šŸ½

It pulls me in every time. It also kept me on my emotional toes. Their journey was Wayward down to the very letter of the meaning, but it was also so beautiful. So human and vulnerable. And it just kept getting stronger šŸ’ŖšŸ½šŸ’ŖšŸ½

Have you read it?? Letā€™s talk about it!

My Answer: Love Notes by

During the pandemic, my sister .maria noticed a lot of her friends and colleagues were all feeling the woes of isolation. She planned fun things like Zoom Baking classes and book clubs. Something to get us all having human interaction OUTSIDE of our households.

In a group full of high level executives, college professors, lawyers, doctors and all around important figures I was NOT going to be the only one who didnā€™t do the reading. She gave us an option of 2 books. Love Notes by CCJ and some random self help book.

Obviously I selected the book about a photographer šŸ˜‰

Instantly hooked. Couldnā€™t put it down. I read that novel in 2 days šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I searched and searched for a book 2, but if you know CCJ, thatā€™s not her stylo. So I went down the rabbit hole that is her catalog.

NEVER TURNED BACK!!

Which novel hooked you?? Drop your response in the comments ā¬‡ļøā¬‡ļøā¬‡ļø

If youā€™ve shot with me, you know, āœØcomfortāœØ is my number one priority when it comes to sessions & projects. So I love when I hear models and clients say they felt comfortable and seen on set.

There are so many ways to get done what needs to get done while respecting others. I make sure I point it out all the time.!

In addition to comfort, I always offer any booked models for either TFP or paid projects in additional portrait session. I let them pick the theme and set it up exactly as if they were a client. because I know a portfolio in this industry is so important.

Whether itā€™s bucket list shoot that you wanted to try or family portraits or a birthday shoot, I always allow them to select. This is my little way of giving back to the community I am borrowing from.ā˜ŗļøšŸ¤—

"Finding stock images which featured Black couples in love, or Black men and women period, has always been a task. This was a situation in the industry which often led to multiple books featuring the same cover model or cover models not matching the descriptions in our books. In the past few years, AI art entered the book space and some authors felt this was finally the answer to our cover art issues. Specific details for characters could be considered and suddenly there were enough images for no two covers to be the same. As is the way of the world, both scenarios came with pros and consā€”ethical questions and copyright issues to name a few. Then, the think pieces appeared and a barrage of suggestions of what authors could and could not do surfaced. The entire conversation was exhausting. All I wanted to do was write great love stories and provide visuals that amplify us in said stories.

Enter, Andrea Rhymes and Indelible Images. I first learned of Andreaā€™s photography through another authorā€™s book release. Low Love, Low Fidelity by Love Belvin had such a pretty cover and the visuals actually matched the characters so I was elated!"
