"Finding stock images which featured Black couples in love, or Black men and women period, has always been a task. This was a situation in the industry which often led to multiple books featuring the same cover model or cover models not matching the descriptions in our books. In the past few years, AI art entered the book space and some authors felt this was finally the answer to our cover art issues. Specific details for characters could be considered and suddenly there were enough images for no two covers to be the same. As is the way of the world, both scenarios came with pros and cons—ethical questions and copyright issues to name a few. Then, the think pieces appeared and a barrage of suggestions of what authors could and could not do surfaced. The entire conversation was exhausting. All I wanted to do was write great love stories and provide visuals that amplify us in said stories.

Enter, Andrea Rhymes and Indelible Images. I first learned of Andrea’s photography through another author’s book release. Low Love, Low Fidelity by Love Belvin had such a pretty cover and the visuals actually matched the characters so I was elated!"

Plot twist: somebody absolutely cares. 📚👏🏽

My unofficial book club president (my mama) has been rooting for every Writer’s Release project like it’s Sunday football. She wants the title, the tropes, the tea, and the cover reveal immediately.

Some of y’all think book promo is niche. In this house, it’s a family event. Black romance readers do not play about their favorites… and honestly? Neither do I. 🤎✨

When Black love stories need visuals that feel as rich as the words… I’m in my element. 📚✨

Just wrapped another Writer’s Release project and hearing an author say they love everything never gets old. From concepting the shoot, directing the energy on set, capturing the chemistry, then dusting off my graphic design bag and building promo assets that make readers pause… this one was a full creative feast.

To my Black romance authors: your stories deserve more than a cover. They deserve a rollout. They deserve visuals with pulse, tension, softness, heat, elegance… all of it.

This project reminded me that the tools never left. They were just waiting in the vault. 🔓🎨📸

This rollout is going to be beautiful. 📚
