🚨 Nonprofits: The Trump administration froze about $6 billion in federal grants nationwide.

First, cuts to the AmeriCorps agency eliminated mentorship programs in Indianapolis, and now there are further setbacks. They also lost grant funding they had relied on for 25 years through the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant program.

This funding reduction jeopardizes financial support for summer camps and after-school programs nationwide. Nearly 926 Boys & Girls Clubs may be forced to close their doors.

A total of 37 local organizations in Michigan offer various services, including food assistance, crisis hotlines, education, and economic support. However, the grant funding for the 2024 fiscal year competition has been delayed or threatened, making it difficult for housing organizations to sustain their operations.

➡️ $222 million in annual funds are now at risk.
➡️ 717 local jobs are at risk.
➡️ 96,775 individuals are at risk of service loss.
