We're adding a new chapter to our ownership story.

As a women- and employee-owned agency, we're proud to now be recognized as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the city of Detroit. And that's not all. While we’ve long partnered with clients in The Great Lakes State, we’re excited to officially establish a presence in Michigan with the opening of our Detroit office.

Since earning national certification through Women's Business Enterprise National Council - WBENC, under the certifying body Great Lakes Women's Business Council, we've expanded our WBE certifications across Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee; the commonwealth of Kentucky; the city of Indianapolis — and now Detroit.

Together, these milestones strengthen our foundation, reflect the strength of our team and fuel our continued growth as we head toward 50 years in business.

The Franklin College Pulliam School of Journalism Awards Dinner is always a celebration, and this year’s gathering was no exception.

Hirons CEO Deana R. Haworth received the Elmer Davis Award, the highest honor the PSJ can bestow on an alum, and the Friend of the Indiana High School Press Association Award for her outstanding contributions to scholastic journalism education and to Indiana scholastic journalism in particular.

These accolades are a well-deserved recognition of her leadership, her commitment to the profession and the example she sets for the next generation.

We’re proud to celebrate Deana alongside the remarkable students and alumni of PSJ who continue to push journalism and communications forward. The future of our industry is very bright.

We’re grateful to have spent an inspiring evening with Dress for Success Indianapolis at The Pearl Society Reception, hosted by DFSI Board Chair Brandi Davis-Handy and presented by JPMorganChase.

The reception brought together a remarkable group of leaders and supporters in downtown Indianapolis for an evening focused on connection, community and shared purpose.

Fun fact: More than 30% of are proud Ball State University alumni. So any chance to be back on campus or welcome Cardinals to our office is a good one.

Last week, we joined the Ball State College of Communication, Information and Media for JDay+ – a journalism, media and communications conference for middle and high school students and teachers.
