The world of cinema is filled with rivals, foes, and frenemies, who’ve entertained us with their dramatic feuds and epic battles. Their ultimate showdowns have kept us rushing back to the theater to root on, cheer for, and at times, peek through parted fingers to see climactic scenes unfold as we just couldn’t bear to watch — we see you gross alien dude! With so many iconic rivalries throughout cinema’s rich history, this year’s 15th annual Bigger Picture Show is all about exploring the dynamic of those iconic relationships. Thanks to our friends at the Athenaeum, some of the city’s most imaginative caffeinated beverages (and baked goods!!!) are being pulled, steamed, and decorated (we see you delicate coffee flower) in the heart of Mass Ave. And fortunately for us, the Athenaeum team trusted Lodge to refresh the Coat Check Coffee logomark/brand to make sure it aligned with the organization’s overarching umbrella brand —a new system we’d recently crafted and started to roll out in 2024.

Looking for an inspiring live performance? Head on over to the Butler Arts & Events Center today! Working with them on a new web site design and build, we focused our frontend strategy on simplicity and ease of use in helping users find the perfect show (while also putting a heavier emphasis on creating a more user-friendly mobile experience). On the backend, our goal was to streamline the management process to help support their team’s day-to-day workflow. Oh, and to coincide with the web launch, we even overhauled their email communications strategy with a new design and messaging approach. We’re looking forward to continuing to support our friends at Butler University with more digital solutions down the road. Go Dawgs!

When we were approached by a tabletop gaming group to develop a logo and visual identity to help them transition from a weekly meet-up to an eventual brick-and-mortar retail brand, we were all in. Taking inspiration from the brick-lined main street of its Zionsville, Indiana, headquarters, our logo exploration took us down some winding alleys and side streets to our winning solution.
