The great general Timur once said "It is better to be on hand with ten men than absent with ten thousand." While originally expressed in a military context, the sentiment has broader applications, not only for the real world, but digital environments as well.

Algorithms reward consistency. Brands that post randomly don’t gain much traction, even if their content has immersive visuals and eye-catching cinematography.

What’s more, there’s no way to make up for an erratic schedule. Posting every day for a week won’t boost your standing if you didn’t post anything the week before and don’t post anything the week after.

Switching to a simple schedule (e.g. 1-2 times a week, on the same days) can quickly improve the reach of your posts, even if they don't have the highest production value. Brands have launched successful campaigns with content produced on smartphones because algorithms don’t reward the posts that look best; they reward the ones that show up.

Worried your social media isn’t getting the attention and end results it deserves? Contact YPM for help building a social media strategy that drives real results.

Not all content is evergreen. Sometimes new technology, cultural trends, outdated research, and shifting algorithms cause online material to fade into irrelevance. But just because old content doesn’t generate clicks doesn’t mean it has no value. Elements can often be repurposed into infographics, podcasts, webinars, and social media posts.

Sometimes they can be given new relevance by adding updated visuals, statistics, and keywords. Repurposing old content often pays dividends. It not only saves time and money, but it also helps you generate more material on key topics – boosting SEO.

For brands looking for ways to revitalize their existing marketing content, start by:

• Breaking long pieces into shorter ones. Long blogs, videos, and articles often contain solid ideas that can be turned into stand-alone pieces with little effort.
• Sharing snippets and statistics for social media. It’s rare for articles, videos, and podcasts to be entirely outdated. Any sections that are still relevant are great materials for social posts, which favor short-form content.
• Rewriting introductions and refreshing visuals. Search engines are increasingly focused on user intent rather than keywords, making it hard for old material to appear in AI summaries and organic search results. At the same time, old graphics and images can discourage users looking for up-to-date content. Updating copy to reflect modern SEO and adding new, high-quality visuals can often breathe new life into old material.

Nothing sells better than a strong story. Storytelling is how we understand the world. In fact, it’s one of our oldest methods of communication. Long before they learned to write, our ancestors shared knowledge, taught lessons, and made sense of the world through stories. Modern researchers have discovered why.

Storytelling stimulates the neural circuits we use to solve problems and process emotions. It’s why we care so deeply about the characters we see onscreen. The narrative structure triggers our brains, so instead of passively observing events, we react as if we were experiencing them ourselves.

That’s why story-driven ads are so effective. Instead of telling people about your product or service, stories create an emotional connection that’s far more memorable and persuasive.

The typical ad on connected TV is 15-30 seconds long. That may not sound like much, but it’s enough for the right team. Searching for ways to make your ads more impactful? Contact YPM and discover how a simple story can transform your marketing.

Successful brands support charitable initiatives and humanitarian efforts not only because they benefit society, but also because they connect them to their community. People are drawn to companies that share their values, principles, and priorities. In fact, around 70 percent of consumers say they buy from brands that champion causes they care about.

They’re a powerful signal but can easily backfire if not handled correctly. Companies that latch onto every popular issue are often accused of “purpose-washing” – using social movements to improve their image without backing their messaging up with any meaningful action.

Search engines and social media have compounded the issue. Consumers can research companies in a few seconds, to see whether they’ve devoted any real time and resources to the causes they support.

In this environment, the best way to succeed is not to chase after every cause but devote yourself wholeheartedly to one or two. Focusing helps you connect with the people involved in those causes, while also enhancing your reputation.

Choose an issue you’re passionate about and that reflects your culture, and pour your efforts into it. Depth rather than breadth is the key to building lasting relationships. It signals genuine commitment, which drives trust and loyalty.

One of the reasons AI is so helpful is that it doesn’t take questions at face value. Instead, it breaks them down into multiple sub-queries, evaluating the prompt’s entities (core subjects) and attributes (associated details, traits, and properties) in order to generate an answer that satisfies the stated request, as well as its underlying intent.

This is a complex task that requires AI to explore and analyze multiple sources, the most prominent of which are automatically linked in the AI synopsis. Because AI tends to respond to information presented in a simple, straightforward manner, companies have adapted by creating short pages structured around a single question regarding a popular topic.

The goal is to boost their profile in AI summaries, currently THE dominant feature on Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). But while AI reacts well to short, direct content, marketers are discovering that long content, which answers multiple questions surrounding popular searches, performs even better.

These types of pillar pages provide AIs with demonstrable expertise, creating a single, multi-layered source they can draw on for topical authority. Pillar pages work best when they answer the question within the first 50-70 words of the introduction and are supported by subsections centered on related queries – mirroring the AI “thought process.”

With brand discovery and impressions occurring mostly on SERPs with AI features, companies need a partner with the knowledge and insight necessary to produce this type of depth-oriented material. Contact the YPM team today to ensure your content is visible to both your users and the algorithm.

In digital spaces, engagement leads to revenue. Customers who visit your website but don’t click on anything don’t generate returns. Successful websites not only capture attention but make it easy for users to navigate and interact with them.

Because visitors cannot engage with a site they can’t understand or connect with, user experience (UX) has evolved from a practical feature into a cornerstone of modern, digital outreach. Companies that prioritize UX:

• Lower their bounce rate
• Increase time spent on site
• Enjoy higher conversion rates

Good UX is centered on several core principles that encourage people to engage with your site and its content. These include:

• Clear Navigation – Users need to be able to find what they’re looking for without getting lost.
• User-Centered Design – Make sure key information is prominently displayed with large, bold elements and clear visual hierarchies.
• Search Tools – Installing an internal search bar helps visitors locate content, as does optimizing titles, alt text, descriptions, and meta tags.
• Strong Visuals – Striking imagery not only makes your site more attractive, but it also helps guide users and communicate critical details.
• Fast Loading Speeds – Websites that load in less than three seconds on desktop and mobile devices see much higher engagement rates.

To ensure your site remains responsive to user needs, make sure your team can capture real-time insights through behavioral and session analytics, such as heat maps, session recording, and A/B testing. You can even solicit direct feedback through on-page and performance surveys.

YPM centers UX in all our designs, both to encourage engagement and deliver strong returns. Contact us to discover how we can help transform your website into a positive experience for users and a successful lead generator for your business.

AI has compressed the standard search cycle. By identifying information from multiple, high-quality sources, AI can resolve user queries within the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) itself, without requiring the user to visit a third-party website. Thanks to the prevalence of AI overviews, now only eight percent of users click a link in Google summaries, according to some estimates – drastically altering the way people encounter and discover new brands.

To adapt to this shift, businesses searching for ways to raise their online profile need to create content likely to be cited in Google-generated answers. In other words, you need content that can stand on its own as an independent resource and as reference material for AI.

Start by examining your target keywords and identifying which ones have zero-click features such as:

• AI Overviews
• Featured Snippets
• Knowledge Panels
• Local Packs (AKA Pack of Three)
• People Also Ask Boxes

Results that generate image and video carousels should also be included, though ranking well on these pages may require you to upload additional content to your site or social media platforms. Because Google elevates content based on trust and credibility, you’ll need to build up authority around target keywords. This involves:

• Publishing original research, data or insights
• Regularly posting fresh content on multiple platforms
• Earning backlinks from other websites
• Contributing thought pieces to industry publications

You can also improve your visibility with schema markups – HTML tags describing digital content that web crawlers can read and understand. This makes it easier for them to categorize the material on your website, which increases the odds it will be cited by AI.

An experienced partner like YPM can help enhance your content, ensuring it's structured for both SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). Contact our team to start thriving in the world of zero-click searches!

Google's mission has always been to provide users with interesting, relevant, and meaningful content. To this end, they need a partner who not only understands how to craft search and display ads but knows how to optimize paid ad campaigns and maximize ROI in this new digital environment – where AI has enabled Google to identify the user’s intent, rather than matching the keywords typed into the search bar.

Keywords were the earliest method for directing individuals to videos, images, and websites that matched their interests. But while keywords were effective, they were simple and unsophisticated. Sometimes searches had to be run several times before they achieved the desired result.

That changed with Gemini, Google’s proprietary artificial intelligence model. It selects content based on a number of hidden signals, such as:

• Location
• Time of Day
• Purchase History
• Browsing History
• Device (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, etc.)
• Demographics

While keywords haven't gone away, the results they produce can now vary widely depending on who punches them into the browser. This creates a challenge for companies that advertise online through paid media, but one that can be overcome with the help of an experienced partner who understands how to craft ads that match intent.

Worried your advertising isn’t living up to its potential? Contact YPM to discuss your media strategy and start launching ads that deliver results.
