Our team at Racer Media & Marketing, Inc. welcomes Brian Bielanski's new "INSIDE THE SCCA" podcast series to RACER.com and also to our social media channels for RACER magazine and SportsCar magazine that we have proudly published for the Sports Car Club of America, Inc. (SCCA) since January of 1984.
Our CEO and Founder, Paul Pfanner is Brian's guest this week as he begins a series of interviews with the Inductees into the SCCA Hall of Fame. Pfanner's fellow SCCA HoF Class of 2022 inductees are Charlie Clark, Howard Duncan, Greg Pickett and Mark Weber and they will officially join the SCCA Hall of Fame during a virtual induction on January 21, 2022 — the opening day of the 2022 SCCA Convention.
Now a little more about Brian Bielanski who has lived a parallel life of motorsports and journalism for more than 30 years. Brian started in motorsports in 1986 as his father’s 16-year-old “crew chief” on SCCA FV, Sports Renault and IT Honda CRX efforts. He has also competed in, and plans to compete again, in SCCA Club racing, Autocross and Road Rally. As a journalist he’s worked in news in network staff positions with CNN and CBS and local news in seven markets from LaCrosse, Wisconsin to New York and Los Angeles. In 2009 Brian founded RacingWire, one of the first web-only motorsports news services given credentialed access at NASCAR, IndyCar, and NHRA events. He currently hosts several podcasts including “Inside the SCCA” and is an editor/producer for KNX 1070 NewsRadio in Los Angeles. Bielanski’s podcasts are available on numerous platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Anchor FM via “The Racing Wire” Network.
