Where to go see an Asian Lantern Lights in Jacksonville, Florida 🏮

If you’re looking for something to do this month, this is your reminder to go to Colors of the Wild at the !

Not only is it one of the largest Asian lantern events in the country, but it’s actually running through all January on select days. I have been wanting to go for the longest, and had the chance to go a few weeks ago and loved it! Trust me, no video can show you how many lights there are, it doesn’t end and they kept getting even prettier!

Side note, if you purchase a ticket to go you also get early admission to the zoo at 3pm (so it’s a win win!). You can get tickets on the Jacksonville Zoo website under “colors of the Wild” and I’ll also have it linked in my bio!

Where to get 75¢ wings in Jacksonville, Florida 🍗

If you’ve never tried , you now have a second chance to do so! 😋

Wing it has been around in Jax since 1997 and had a few locations before closing after Covid in 2022. By popular demand, they are now back with the same wing recipe, sauces, and even some former staff! (And they recently started opening on Mondays!)

I would definitely recommend taking advantage of their specials on Tuesday and Thursdays that are a steal! 🤑

Tuesday- 75¢ Wings after 4pm
Thursday- $20 AYCE Wings

Some of my favorites were Med Garlic Wings, Med Lemon Pepper, Honey BBQ, and their Tachos!

New Korean Kitchen & Dessert Spot in Jacksonville, Florida 🥢🍦
jax is a new Korean Kitchen that has all the tasty things: wings, noodles, tteokbokki, and so much more! They also have a dessert cafe .jax that has amazing drinks and desserts like matcha lattes, taiyaki, bingsu, and strawberry matcha soft serve! Not to mention they have a Photo Booth with props and have free miso soup available! 🍜

I really enjoyed everything I tried and the staff was so friendly to everyone! A few of my favorites were: cloud matcha, wings, kalbi dorsirak, jjajangmyeon, and their seasonal soft serve flavors! 😋

Happy Thanksgiving everyone from my family to yours 💗 Hope everyone has a happy day with your loved ones!

Quick thank you to for allowing us to help feed our homeless each year! If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that one of our favorite family traditions is making food for the homeless for the holidays.

If you’re looking for a shelter to donate, is always our go to! They are always extremely welcoming and kind, and they have a great system that makes drop off so easy. No need to call ahead!

They are currently in need of: Sugar! (but of course all donations are accepted!)

A few local resources I wanted to shoutout for those needing additional support during this holiday season:

- Follow their IG for food drives, donations, and food distributions. They also have a great resource on their website to find food pantries available near you!

- They are giving out hot meals every day to families in need. Email [email protected] to reserve a plate or to volunteer. Also a great place to go donate food or pay for someone’s meal! (They prefer rice, beans, and bread donations)

- they do a lot of food pantries, mostly downtown/northside area. Their page is constantly updated on their weekly food pantry locations.

Arab Latin Fusion in Jacksonville, FL 🥙🫓

Did you know that there’s a Latin Arab fusion restaurant in Jax? I recently had the chance to check out and was blown away by everything I tried! 😋

is a family run restaurant by a brother and sister that are half Venezuelan, half Arab and wanted to bring the flavors they grew up with together in one place. They started as a food truck and over time, opened their first brick and mortar.

They have such a great variety in their menu of Venezuelan options, as well as Middle Eastern classics like Shawarmas, Falafel, Tabbouleh, and so much more! Some of my favorites are the Chicken Shawarmas, Habibi Fries, their empanadas, cachapas, and their fresh mora juice 🤤

New Specialty Cafe in Jacksonville, FL 🧋

There’s a new spot called that’s a specialty cafe that I recently checked out and it has sooooo many great options to choose from!

Whether you like to order the same thing or try something new every time, their options are limitless! From different drink options like coffee, matcha, milk teas, lemonades, energy drinks, and even small bites. Not to mention, any drink you order is extremely customizable, from sweetness level to milk of choice which is great for those looking for dairy free options!
