This Sunday, June 7th at 10:30 AM, Kennetic reaches a milestone years in the making: our documentary "Preserving the Ponce," produced alongside the Flagler College marketing team, premieres on PBS Jax. For Kennetic, it's a first.
Starting in mid-2024, we spent almost two years inside Flagler College's day-to-day — taking tours, watching restoration specialists work, listening to craftsmen solve difficult problems, and interviewing faculty, students, and city officials. We spoke with architectural historians, state leaders, and city residents. We attended special events, met legacy donors, and watched students move in on their first days of college.
It was a special experience, in a fascinating place that becomes a part of everyone who spends time there. That was confirmed by the 800+ people who filled Lewis Auditorium for the first screening, and the strong turnout at the screenings hosted by the St. Johns Cultural Council and the St. Augustine History Festival.
The privilege of being chosen to document this isn't lost on us- or on the 25 local production contractors we were able to bring onto the project. And now it goes to its widest audience yet.
Please support Flagler College, WJCT, and our local film community by watching!
PBS premiere: 6/7 at 10:30 AM on Jax PBS 7.1 (Comcast 8 & 440).
