Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder that freedom was built on sacrifice, service, and the courage of those willing to stand in harm’s way for something greater than themselves.
This Memorial Day, I honor two people who shaped my life and inspired my path of service.
My father, Vernon A. Robinson, United States Marine Corps.A man of strength, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. His service and example taught me what honor truly means.
And my aunt, Captain Susan Ficklin, USN.A trailblazer, leader, and patriot whose career in the United States Navy inspired me to wear the uniform myself. She showed me that service is not just a profession — it is a calling.
Their legacy lives on through family, service, courage, and love of country.
Today we remember all those who served, sacrificed, and gave everything for this nation. We honor their memory. We carry their legacy forward. We never forget.
🇺🇸 We Honor. We Remember. We Thank. 🇺🇸
