I wanted to share something meaningful that Emma is working on and ask for your support.
Emma is participating in Jewish National Fund’s Dream Israel Teen Initiative as part of her effort to earn a scholarship for the spring semester TRY program, Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim, where she hopes to study in Israel next year.
As part of this initiative, Emma is raising funds for JNF’s Sderot Indoor Recreation Center in Israel.
For families living near the Gaza border, there are times when they may have only about 15 seconds to get to a bomb shelter after sirens go off. The Sderot Indoor Recreation Center gives children a safe place to play, learn, dance, climb, spend time with friends, and experience pieces of a normal childhood.
The building is specially reinforced so it can also serve as a bomb shelter during attacks.
Emma’s goal is to raise $5,000 for this project. If she reaches that goal, she will receive a $7,000 grant toward her semester in Israel through TRY.
If you already support Jewish National Fund and have not yet made your 2026 donation, you can donate through Emma’s page and still receive the same credit as if you had donated directly to JNF.
Any amount would mean so much.
Your support helps JNF’s work in Sderot and also helps Emma take part in what we believe will be a powerful and meaningful experience in Israel.
