No chat widget on your website means every visitor who didn't want to call just... left. This is what it looks like when your site actually works for you. Someone types in a question at 2 in the morning, AI answers it, and nudges them toward booking an estimate. All while you're on a job or spending time with your family. Simple setup, big difference.

If your website has everything crammed onto one page, this is probably why Google isn't sending you traffic. Each service you offer needs its own page. Each city you serve needs its own page. That's how Google figures out when to show you and to who. Simple fix, big difference.

If you've been skipping reviews because you didn't know where to find the link? This one's for you. Took me less than a minute to pull it up. Your Google review link lives right inside your Google Business Profile. Find it, copy it, start sending it. That's it.

“What’s the difference between a smart website and a dumb website?”

For local service businesses that live and die by booked appointments and estimates, here’s how I see it:

A dumb website:

Got put up one day because “we needed a website”
Just sits there and doesn’t really do anything
Doesn’t show your past work or your reviews
Doesn’t help you get seen when someone searches for your service on Google
A smart website:

Works hard to get you seen when people search on Google
Makes it easy for people to contact you
And when someone calls or fills out a form, it responds automatically so you never miss a lead again
If you rely on booked appointments or estimates to thrive, a smart website is the route to go.

👉 Comment your business name + city and write “AUDIT.”
I’ll tell you if your website is acting smart or dumb and what I’d fix first.

Most local business websites are dumb.
If they disappeared tomorrow, the calendar wouldn’t even notice.

They look “professional”…
…but there’s no clear “what you do, where you do it, how to get started.”
No obvious way to contact you.
No help getting reviews.
No follow-up when someone actually reaches out.

A smart website is the opposite:

Makes it stupid-easy to contact you
Shows real local reviews
Follows up with leads automatically so you’re not losing jobs while you’re on a project

If you own a local service business and want to know which one you’ve got:

👉 Comment your business name and city and write “AUDIT.”
I’ll tell you if your site is acting smart or dumb and what I’d fix first.

Contractors… serious question.

How many jobs did you lose last month because nobody picked up the phone?

You’re on a roof.
In a crawlspace.
Running a crew.

A homeowner finds you on Google, calls, no answer… and taps the next contractor.

That’s a lost estimate.

If your phone is “hit or miss,” your website + Google setup isn’t supporting you.

Comment SITE if you want me to look at where you’re leaking jobs. Follow for more contractor lead system breakdowns.

Contractors… you know that one guy on the crew everyone complains about?

Late. No communication. Costs you money.

But honestly, for most contractors, the worst crew member isn’t a person.

It’s your website and Google presence.

Your crew works hard. But your online setup:
• Doesn’t show up when homeowners search
• Doesn’t make it easy to request an estimate
• Doesn’t follow up when you miss a call on a job

If your “online crew member” is dead weight, comment SITE and I’ll send you a Google leads audit.

Jamestown business owners… I keep hearing the same story.

Some out-of-town agency built your website off one Zoom call, sent you a template, and disappeared.

It might look fine, but it’s not built for how people here actually search, call, and book.

Me and my wife Greta live right here in Jamestown. We build local website systems that are simple, updated, and supported long-term.
