Grant Wood is one of my favorite Artists. He's the guy that painted the old couple in front of a farmhouse with the guy holding a pitchfork. But most of his work is very descriptive of farm life in rural Iowa. This painting titled "January," and sometimes titled "Fedbruary" is very fitting for the weather we are having now. I get cold just looking at it.

I love the Indiana artist TC Steele. He lived and worked in the Old Northside area where I lived in the 80s. Here are some of my favorite snow paintings he made in the early 1900s. Nice to see snow since we hardly have it anymore.
