Under OCGA 40-6-26, drivers must obey all traffic control devices. This includes road closed signs, barricades, and detour notices. Driving around barricades or into flooded roadways puts lives at risk.

⚠️ Remember:
• Never drive through standing or moving water.
• Turn around. Do not drown.
• Slow down and allow extra travel time.

If you encounter flooded roads or hazardous conditions, use alternate routes and report emergencies by calling 911.

Today I decided on for lunch. When I got my food, I noticed this little sticker on the bag which reads, “ 60th Anniversary. Family owned and operateded since 1964…” I couldn’t help but be excited for them! What an accomplishment!!!!👏🏻👏🏻 Chances are if you have ever lived in or been to , you have at least heard about this little gem!!🤩

‼️S•I•X•T•Y• YEARS!!!!‼️This is an AMAZING accomplishment for a local family-owned small business!!!

With all that being said, all of us with Jasper Life would like to extend a massive “CONGRATULATIONS!!” to Billy, Cindy, and the family for an outstanding 60 YEARS of incredible success and service to the community!!! Speed Burger is most definitely a staple of this little town we all get to call home, and we can’t wait to see what the next 60+ years bring for them!! For those who have been asking, Kroger was placed on lockdown and the store was evacuated for a little while due to a bomb threat. The building has since been cleared (6pm). Commenting on this post will be turned off to prevent speculation. Please keep an eye out for a post from Pickens County Public Safety’s page(s) for an official statement and more details on the incident as soon as they are ready to do so. As the storms approach, we turn to You for comfort and protection. Please shield us and our loved ones from the dangers that may come with this bad weather. Grant us strength and peace in times of uncertainty.

Help those who may be affected by this storm and guide us to support one another in our communities. May we find solace in Your presence, and may the tempest pass quickly, leaving safety in its wake.
