🧼 Did You Know? Indiana Has Updated Requirements for Instrument Sterilization.

As Indiana’s beauty industry continues to evolve, it’s more important than ever to understand the difference between disinfection and sterilization.

For estheticians and cosmetology facilities using reusable metal instruments that require sterilization, Indiana rules require an operable steam autoclave or dry heat sterilizer on the premises. Instruments must first be thoroughly cleaned before being properly sterilized according to the approved method and manufacturer’s instructions.

✨ Sterilization helps provide the highest level of protection by destroying microorganisms on appropriate reusable instruments.

Education protects both providers and clients. As regulations continue to change in Indiana, staying informed is one of the best investments you can make in your business and your clients’ safety. 💜

Honestly, this wasn’t something I originally planned. However we are in complete alignment with my mantra of colaboration over competition.
I found myself navigating new regulations, compliance requirements, medical spa laws, advertising rules, operational systems, inspections, and countless questions that didn’t always have clear answers.
When the Indiana PLA recently completed our compliance review, they encouraged me to explore consulting because of my passion for compliance, attention to detail, and ability to build systems that help businesses succeed.
That conversation stuck with me.
The truth is, while building Geode, there were many times I wished I had someone to call who had already been through the process. Someone who could help connect the dots, explain the requirements, review the details, and help avoid costly mistakes.
I realized that if I needed that person, other business owners probably do too.
That’s why I created Rae Methods Consulting.
Not because I have all the answers, but because I’ve spent countless hours researching, building systems, asking questions, and navigating the challenges firsthand.
My goal is simple:

“Will you share who you’re consulting with?”

The answer is simple: No.

Trust is the foundation of any successful consulting relationship.
