Body Language 012 | July 2026
Body Language, DJ 9AM + Tubbs (more) production has been running over three years, across a few different rooms in Brooklyn. I started photographing it in early 2024 and immediately saw a connecftion to the past.
Gospel built most of the music we move to now. Behind gospel is the Black Church. Behind that, Hoodoo. The institutions might change, but the practices keep finding new rooms. I stopped overthinking whether our movement is learned or carried, I’m letting you decide.
