Susan is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in NYC. In her early career, she worked as an art director/graphic designer for various book publishing companies in New York City including Penguin and Macmillan. ity designer, established her own company, Susan Newman Design, Inc. Branding YOU Better!, her motto, is about how logic, structure, continuity and style make a client look good. If you build it RIGHT, they will come! She has been featuring other brands in her "brand interview" series to show how strong brand design can build a successful and memorable company. Her clients range from new start-ups and small businesses to large corporations and span the United States and abroad. Her work has encompassed brand identity, social media strategy and design, advertising & promotion, web design and development, and theatrical/environmental poster design. Susan has received numerous national and international awards from organizations and publications in both graphic and website design over the years. She has been featured and interviewed on design and social media in print and on the radio and has been a participant in panel discussions. In May 2009, she founded Frogs Are Green INC, a NJ nonprofit organization raising awareness of the frog extinction crisis and to spread the message that healthy frogs mean a healthy planet for all. In 2014 as a spin off to Frogs Are Green, Susan began teaching nature and art together to children in Hoboken which she calls, Peaceful Frogs. This past summer she taught this class to children from preK through HS and has been engaged for the 2021-2022 term to continue.
