As you know my hives are stuck in Little Germany. Gordon called me today and said they are swarming my building where I keep the extra frames. I had him move everything out into the field behind the hives to draw them that way and away from the shower house we built.
I have to get some pollen patties/ sugar patties into him in the morning to feed my girls as I am afraid the storm killed all blooms within miles and they are starving.... I really don't know because I am trying to walk him through looking for me right now.
WOULD you or anyone have enough for 5 hives that I can buy/ borrow/ trade to get them settled until I can get in for an inspection?
I had left them the two big bottom boxes and a small super when I harvested this year, but since everything happened, I don't know if that was enough yet.
I can come after work and pick stuff up if you can or know someone who can help me out.

I just got the update that the Sheriff is en route to Little Germany. They are making sure everyone is safe, secure, and healthy.

Fuel for grills, generators and our skid steer and dozer are coming in the chopper.

They are bringing in pet food for all the animals stranded around our community. These babies are our family, too.

I've been so emotional over the last few days that the humanity of people has made me cry a hundred times.

They are working tirelessly to bring relief and hope to those who are lost, stranded and in trouble. You can bet if they ever, ever, ever need ANYTHING from me, I will die making it happen.

Our local officers, EMTs, Fire Departments, farmers, friends, and complete strangers have called/ texted/ stopped by my store to see what they can do for Bumpas Cove/ Little Germany.

I've never been more proud to be from East Tennessee.
