A good story has struggles, obstacles and stakes! We recognize this in a movie or a book but it can be much more difficult when we find our selves in the middle of a story still unfolding.

I’m so grateful to Melissa for sharing some her story with me on the Lead with Story podcast. She’s a great resource if you’re looking to go through the mortgage process for a new home and an even better person to talk to about working through the difficulties of life!

It’s entirely possible “I don’t want a story” actually means “I don’t have time for a story”. Fair and often quite necessary when a decision needs to be made.

Sometimes a situation needs to be resolved and the reasons behind it come at later time.

But there is always a guiding story. Always.

And it’s worth taking time (and it will rarely feel convenient) to understand what that story is and how it shapes who we are, where we’re headed and who we’re becoming.

What’s their first step to participation?
