Keywords, backlinks, meta descriptions, it's all a bit confusing. 😵‍💫

The truth is, it doesn't have to be. At the end of the day, Google prioritizes one thing above all else: user experience. If you keep that as your north star, you'll see massive results on Google.

Sounds simple enough, but what does that look like in practice?

1️⃣: Every page on your site needs to have a clear purpose. For example, if someone is searching for web design services, a marketing agency like us will have a page dedicated specifically to web design on our website. Avoid cramming all of your services on one single page, unless it's a menu-type service page that leads to other specific, hyper-focused pages.

2️⃣: You need to use the right keywords. What is your target audience searching for on Google? Do a little research (it's as simple as typing common questions from your industry on Google, and looking at the "related searches"), and include some of those search queries on your target pages.

3️⃣: Focus on building quality backlinks. This is probably the most challenging aspect of SEO, but the most rewarding. Having local news organizations or influencers linking to your website is a massive indicator of "worthiness" in Google's eyes, so look for opportunities to get involved with your local community and build real relationships! If you can land a backlink from a trusted, established source, you'll see your ranks rise fast!

The first hurdle we had to tackle with our rebrand was… well, our branding. We needed to find a color scheme that was eye-catching, timeless, and something that represented our beloved Rockies.

One evening as we were packing in our boat from a quick fishing expedition, a stunning sunset caught our gaze and drew us in — and we knew at that moment we had our inspiration for our color scheme 🌅
