GBPUSD — FROM WATCHLIST TO A DEVELOPING VMS SETUP 👀

We've been watching this one since August 27, and this chart is a great example of what patience looks like with VMS 2.0.

When GBPUSD originally went onto our watchlist, we weren't looking to jump into a trade. We were waiting to see whether price would pull back into the support area around the previous swing high and 50 EMA.

Well...price came to us. 🎯

Now look at what has developed:

✅ #4 pullback into our area
✅ Previous resistance potentially acting as support
✅ Rejection from the zone
✅ Bullish engulfing candle
✅ Bullish divergent momentum

That's the part of trading I want people to learn.

We don't start with an entry. We start with STRUCTURE.

Then we let the market prove the rest of the setup.

On the public side of Forex Academy, we'll continue showing the setups we're seeing and explaining why they're important.

Inside the Academy, we take the next step — turning what we see into an executable trade plan, including how we approach risk, stops, targets, R:R and ex*****on.

Two different levels of education. Same VMS 2.0 process.

We don't predict the market. We prepare for it.

GBPCHF | THE EVIDENCE IS CHANGING 👀

This is an interesting one.

We've previously traded GBPCHF to the upside using VMS 2.0, but trading isn't about becoming married to a direction. When the evidence changes, we change with it.

Take a look at what's developing now.

Price has broken and closed below the bullish trendline, pulled back into an important area, and started showing rejection.

Then came a combination I really like seeing at a potential reversal area:

⭐ Shooting star

🔻 Followed by a large bearish engulfing candle

Momentum is also showing bearish divergence, giving us another piece of the VMS picture.

Structure. Momentum. Volume. Ex*****on.

Finding an interesting setup is one thing. Deciding whether—and how—to trade it is another.

That's where preparation and discipline become so important.

We'll keep documenting GBPCHF as it develops and come back to it when the market gives us the answer — win or lose.

We don't predict the market. We prepare for it.

EURGBP — STOPPED OUT | -1R ❌

You've seen us posting several winning trades today.

Now here's one that lost.

Our EURGBP short reached its stop today for a -1R loss.

And we're giving this trade exactly the same visibility we give the winners.

We originally moved EURGBP to Trigger Watch on 8/20. The setup progressed, our VMS 2.0 requirements were satisfied, and we entered the short on 8/24.

Today the market gave us the answer.

We were wrong on this one. -1R.

That's trading.

We can analyze Structure, Momentum and Volume. We can wait patiently for our requirements. We can define the stop, target and risk before entering.

But there is one thing we can never know:

WHICH INDIVIDUAL TRADE WILL WIN.

That's why bankroll management isn't optional.

If every trade won, we'd all be millionaires. 😂

The reality is that losses are part of operating a probabilistic strategy. Our responsibility isn't to eliminate them. Our responsibility is to control what they cost us.

This one cost us 1R.

No hiding it.
No deleting the original analysis.
No pretending we didn't take it.
No revenge trading.

We document it exactly like the winners.

Because if we're going to ask people to follow what we're doing—and eventually trust us enough to learn VMS 2.0 from Forex Academy—then they deserve to see the real thing.

Wins AND losses. Start to finish.

EURGBP SHORT: -1R ❌

CHFJPY +3R — FROM WATCHLIST TO WINNER ✅

THIS is what we mean when we say: Preparation • Ex*****on • Consistency.

Our CHFJPY short just reached its profit target for a +3R WIN. ✅

But the result isn't the most important part of this trade.

The process is.

📌 8/24 — WATCHLIST
We identified CHFJPY as a market worth watching.

📌 8/26 — TRIGGER WATCH
The setup was developing, but we still didn't have a trade.

📌 8/27 — TRADE ENTERED
The VMS 2.0 setup completed, our requirements were satisfied, and we entered a risk-defined short.

📌 9/3 — +3R PROFIT TARGET HIT ✅

That's the journey.

We didn't find this chart today and draw a trade over the move.

We documented it BEFORE we knew the outcome.

And that's exactly how we want to continue sharing our trading here at Forex Academy:

Watchlist → Trigger Watch → Entry → Result

You'll see the winners.

You'll see the losers.

And you'll be able to follow the process from the beginning instead of only seeing a screenshot after the move has already happened.

This one is officially in the books:

CHFJPY SHORT: +3R ✅

Trade complete. We take the result and start looking for the next qualified opportunity.

HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? 😳

Take a look at our USDJPY trade.

We had the short position, the market pushed just far enough against us to hit our stop for -1R...
..and then turned around and absolutely DROPPED. 😂

Welcome to trading.

This is one of the reasons we use structure along with the 1.5x ATR when we're determining stop-loss placement. Sometimes that additional room saves us from normal market movement and keeps us in the trade.

But not always.

Looking back at this one, I believe our stop should have been placed above the broader channel/structure. That's part of reviewing our trades—win OR lose—and continuing to refine our ex*****on.

But we're also not going to pretend we can eliminate this from trading completely.

Sometimes the market is simply going to take you out...

and THEN make the move you were expecting.

The important thing is that our risk was controlled. We took the -1R, reviewed it, learned from it, and moved on.

👇 TRADERS — HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?

Have you ever been stopped out only to watch the market immediately turn around and head straight toward your original target?

Tell us about it in the comments. I have a feeling we're not alone on this one. 😂

USDJPY — STOPPED OUT FOR -1R ❌

We took a -1R loss on our USDJPY short earlier today.

And I want to document this one for exactly the same reason we document the winners.

LOSSES KEEP ME HONEST ABOUT BANKROLL MANAGEMENT.

If every trade were a winner, we'd all be millionaires. 😂

But that's not trading.

The truth is, when we enter a trade, we do not know whether that particular trade will be a winner or a loser. We can have good structure, a completed setup and a valid reason for taking the trade—and still lose.

That's why bankroll management isn't something we talk about after a loss.

It's decided BEFORE we ever enter the trade.

Our risk was defined. The market hit our stop. We lost 1R.

Looking back at the chart, I also see something I could have done better. The stop could have been positioned above the broader channel/structure, giving the trade more room. We'll take that information with us and continue refining our ex*****on.

But we're not going to turn a loss into something it wasn't.

The trade lost -1R. Period.

No revenge trade.
No increasing risk to get it back.
No changing the strategy because one trade lost.

We review it, learn from it, and move on to the next qualified opportunity.

Because we don't need to know which trade will win.

We need to make sure no single losing trade can hurt us.

That's bankroll management.

🎥 AUDJPY — THIS SETUP DESERVED A LITTLE MORE ATTENTION

Earlier today I posted a screenshot showing why we've moved AUDJPY from our Watchlist to Trigger Watch.

But after looking at the chart again, I felt like one screenshot really wasn't enough.

There are several things developing here that I wanted to explain in a little more detail—and honestly, I wanted to personalize it more than I can with some notes and arrows on a chart.

So I made this quick 2-minute video to walk you through exactly what I'm seeing.

AUDJPY is sitting near an important area around 20-year highs, where we've already seen multiple rejections.

Friday gave us a good-looking Shooting Star.

Momentum is attempting to complete a bearish divergent setup.

And today's price action could potentially give us the Bearish Engulfing Candle trigger we're waiting for.

But here's the important part:

We haven't taken the trade.

This is what Trigger Watch means inside Forex Academy.

We're getting close enough that the setup deserves our attention, but AUDJPY still has work to do before it earns our money.

In the video, I'll show you exactly what we're seeing, what we're waiting for, and what would need to happen before we'd even consider a short position.

I think seeing the chart while I'm actually talking through my thought process gives you a much better understanding of how we're applying VMS 2.0 in the live market.

That's really why I wanted to make this.

Not just:

“Here's a potential trade.”

But:

“Come look over my shoulder and I'll show you WHY we're watching it.”

That's what Forex Academy is about.

8.31.2026
🚨 AUDJPY — MOVING TO TRIGGER WATCH

This morning we're moving AUDJPY from our regular Watchlist to TRIGGER WATCH.

And I want to explain exactly why.

AUDJPY is trading around an extremely significant area near 20-year highs, and we've now seen price reject this level four separate times.

Friday gave us another piece of evidence:

📍 A good-looking Shooting Star rejection candle.

That's encouraging for a potential reversal—but it is NOT enough for us to enter a trade.

Now look at Momentum.

The first peak reached 99.

We're currently developing a potential second peak around 72.

If Momentum hooks bearish from here, we could have the completed bearish divergent Momentum setup we're looking for.

Meanwhile, today's price action is currently bearish.

So now we wait for our trigger:

A Bearish Engulfing Candle.

And this is exactly why I distinguish between a Watchlist and a Trigger Watch.

A Watchlist says:

"Something interesting may be developing here."

Trigger Watch says:

"We're close enough that the setup could potentially complete with today's Daily close."

But neither one means:

TAKE THE TRADE.

If today's candle completes the bearish trigger and Momentum gives us the hook, we'll slow everything down and check and double-check VMS 2.0.

✅ Structure
✅ Rejection
⏳ Bearish Engulfing trigger
⏳ Divergent Momentum + bearish hook
⏳ Volume confirmation
⏳ Position tool / SL / target / R:R

Only when the evidence is properly aligned will we consider taking a SHORT position.

And if today's candle doesn't give us what we need?

We wait.

If tomorrow doesn't give it to us?

We wait.

And if the entire setup disappears?

We remove it and move on.

We don't need AUDJPY.

AUDJPY needs to give us the setup.

That's the mindset we're trying to develop with VMS 2.0.

Don't chase the market.

Don't anticipate the trigger.

Let the setup come to you.

8.29.2026
📉 NEW LIVE TRADE — NZDJPY SHORT

Here's another great example of how we're applying VMS 2.0 in the live market.

I've included the chart because I want you to look at how the pieces of this setup developed together.

First — STRUCTURE.

NZDJPY has now tested this upper resistance area multiple times, creating a very clear triple top.

But remember:

A triple top by itself isn't a reason for us to enter a trade.

We want to see how the market reacts when it gets there.

And we've seen plenty of rejection.

On this latest attempt higher, price rejected the area again and produced a Bearish Engulfing Candle — our trigger. ✅

Next comes MOMENTUM.

This is one of my favorite parts of the setup.

Price returned to essentially the same highs while momentum weakened, giving us a clear bearish divergent setup and hook. ✅

Then—and only then—do we check VOLUME.

4-hour Volume came in at:

91 ✅

Now we've built a case:

📊 Triple-top resistance
📊 Multiple signs of rejection
📊 Bearish Engulfing trigger
📊 Bearish divergent Momentum
📊 Bearish Momentum hook
📊 4H Volume = 91

Structure → Momentum → Volume → Ex*****on

That's VMS.

We're not predicting that NZDJPY will go down.

We're identifying a situation where several independent pieces of market evidence are pointing in the same direction and asking:

Is there enough evidence here to justify risking 1R?

For this setup, our answer was YES.

So we're now in the trade SHORT.

And we'll do exactly what we've been doing with every other trade:

Document it. Manage it. Review it. And show you the result—win or lose.

That's how we learn.

That's how we improve.

And that's how we build consistency.

🎥 THE WINNER’S EDGE — EPISODE 19 IS LIVE

This is probably one of the best videos I've made for showing exactly how we apply VMS 2.0 in the live Forex market.

This week:

✅ 2 Wins
❌ 1 Loss
📊 5 Live Trades currently in the market
🎯 Our current Watchlist and WHY we're watching them

But the results aren't really the point of this episode.

I walk through the trades and explain WHY we took each one — the structure we identified, what momentum was telling us, what we saw in volume, and how those pieces came together to create the setup.

We also spend some time talking about something I believe is absolutely mandatory if you're going to trade:

BANKROLL MANAGEMENT.

Good setups can lose.

That's part of trading.

Our job isn't to eliminate losses. Our job is to make sure one loss—or even a series of losses—doesn't have the ability to take us out of the game.

If you've been following our posts and wondering what Forex Academy VMS is actually about, this 13-minute episode is a great place to start.

No signals. No promises. No predicting the market.

Just real charts, real trades, real results—and the reasoning behind the decisions.

Structure → Momentum → Volume → Ex*****on
