I've been averaging 2 books per month (which is so amazing and I'm super proud of myself) and as you can see, I'm a little all over the place! And that's totally fine. I'm not super loyal to one genre, trope, or theme. I just love the experience of being in someone else's world!

So, I was super going to make a post when I got to 25K. And then I was sick. And then I did a sprint with a discord group. And now I'm well past that 25k mark! Dang!
By my nifty calculations in my spreadsheet, at this rate I'll have draft 1 complete by Halloween! Or at least to my goal of 75k words. I may end up going over.... Whoops!

It's all going to work out.
It's going to be so nice to look back and thank myself for all this hard work.
I'm already thankful for everything I've done up to this point.
I am always growing and will continue to grow.
The only failure is stagnation.
But hun, please remember to rest 🫶

This is truly how my brain works. Do I Edit? Get Coffee? Write? Worldbuild? Get a drinky? Illustrate? Who knows! At least I'll never be bored! .... right?

A big part of my book centers around how our main character, Autumn, communicates with Lythra, the Goddess of the moon, mind, and dreams.

Autumn is deeply introspective, but she doesn't always know how to express what she's feeling out loud. Instead, she writes. Her journal becomes a place for her deepest thoughts, fears, questions, and desires, all addressed to Lythra.

Writing becomes its own form of prayer. Lythra becomes an outlet for the things Autumn can't say to anyone else, and the page becomes one of the few places where she doesn't have to worry about expectations or performances.

It's where Autumn is allowed to simply be herself. 🌙

Hopping on a trend.

As I write, I like keeping up a mood board. It's important to me that all the things I'm feeling while I write are translated to the eventual readers of my book.

Since I'm on my first draft, I'm much more focused on story and not so much on the details. But I promise that will come!

I'm so bad at posting MYSELF online.
If you know me IRL, you know I'm a real life marketing manager.
I've managed TONS of accounts for lots of businesses and have counseled people on their social strategy on how to gain followers etc.
But do I take my own advice??? Almost never lol.
So here I am. Editing my book for the reels!

So here I go! I have 20k words in. I'm taking publishing classes. And I'll look back and say that I did it :)
