All the stats show, no matter if you are trying to reach residential customers, or are a business-to-business type of company, websites are extremely powerful for getting new customers to help increase sales. However, how your website is built and designed can also affect the effectiveness of getting those customers. Consider this:

☑️ 38% of people will stop using a website if it has a poor design (over a 1/3rd!)
☑️ 39% of people judge a business by how its website looks

I find that I am one of these consumers. Whenever I see a Facebook ad, or even a classified ad in Marketplace, and I go to check out their website to learn more about the business, only to find they don't have a website, I immediately assume they are either a sketchy company or are not professional enough to handle my need.

My husband is a regional sales manager and it is definitely true for him, even though he is more in the business-to-business space. When he is checking out machine shops and they don't have a website, he immediately thinks they are too small for him to visit, which isn't necessarily the case.

What about you, do you fall into this stat?

We took a day trip to Wheatland, MO and found a little diner that serviced some downhome comfort food. The hubby and I shared a tenderloin sandwich they brought to us on a tray like you would use in the school cafeteria (no joke!). It was HUGE! There was actually enough for 3 people.

As a business owner, have you ever wondered how your company appears when potential customers search for your business on Google? Here's a quick tip to help you find out:

1. Open an Incognito Window: Start by opening a new incognito window in your web browser. This ensures that your previous search history or personalized results won't influence the outcome. To use an Incognito Window, just press Shift+Ctrl+N.

2. Perform a Google Search: In the search bar, enter your business name.

3. Scan the Search Results: Look through the search results page and see where your business is listed. You should see your website listed as the very first organic result and your Google Business Profile should be reflected as well.

If you don’t find your website listed first, it is a sure sign that your website is not properly optimized. No other entity, even your page, should ever appear before your website. A company’s website increases a potential customer’s trust that a business is reliable and able to meet their needs. More transactions take place on a website than any other online property.

On this sacred day, we remember the courageous men and women who laid down their lives, to protect the liberties we cherish. They have defended our nation's ideals, safeguarded our democracy, and ensured that future generations can live in peace and prosperity.

We remember those who bravely stormed the beaches of Normandy, fought valiantly in the jungles of Vietnam, stood firm in the face of terror on September 11th, and continue to serve on the front lines around the world today. Each of these heroes has left an indelible mark on our history, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Memorial Day is not only a day of reflection; it is also a day of unity. It brings us together as a nation, transcending political differences and personal agendas, to honor those who fought and died for a cause greater than themselves. It is a reminder that we are bound together by the shared belief in freedom, justice, and equality.
