Continuing on with my ‘Pattern Interrupt’ design series the topic follows forward on to self expression.

How do you express yourself externally? Do you freely interact with an authentic approach... or do you sometimes find yourself conforming and creating facades to fit into social circles? What skin do you wear? One that flows freely as the amazing, unique individual that you are... or camoflaged in something other?

The project scope was to create a custom illustrated t-shirt design reflective of the specific feel and vision that KC Taco Company had in mind. I do not know about you but we are loving the final results!

[ Story Piece Pano Series ▪️ No 1 /02 Abstract Pattern Interrupt ]

My last week’s Design Series was entitled ‘Pattern Interrupt’ .... it is a concept about bringing awareness to the day to day patterns of our lives. But what serves us and what does not?

Many times we make decisions out of habit or comfort... but when is it time to look beyond habit and comfort to see an underlying beauty and purpose laying dormant that is dying to break free?

This piece was created during the art show I was a part of this past weekend. Surrounded by the hustle and bustle of fantastic people, I was reminded of the individual that I am... how the choices of breaking out old habits and fears had brought me to this moment in time. My soul was filled with such gratitude in knowingness that this was now my new and amazing reality! Creating and freely expressing WHO I TRULY AM.... a creator.
So, my question for you all is how do you pattern interrupt to bring about positive change and empowering growth?...To look fear in the face with confidence, strength and grace.

I have been busy working behind the scenes passionately cultivating the purpose and mission of my graphic design company.

This has led me to collaborating with an amazing organization called K•U•L•T•U•R- The Collective Creative Consciousness - an amazing collaborative of KC artists coming together as individuals, working together for a greater purpose....Raising awareness of authenticity and incredible self expression of the KC arts movement.

This is the flyer that I designed for our next art show event ‘Synergy’ which is being held this Friday and Saturday in the West Bottoms! I would love to see all that can attend to come out and support an amazing cause!

This week’s Design Series is entitled ‘Pattern Interrupt’ .... an experiment of sorts about the psychology behind patterns. It’s the concept of creating design elements that causes the viewer to ... well stop. This visual, cognitive approach allows me to help my clients gain increased engagement & traffic on social media.
