The New Year is here (!!!), you may be feeling a lot of energy pulling you towards exciting change. But what if you don't know where to start?
Here are 3 questions to ask yourself to help you make positive change in your business this year 👇🏼
✨ 01 What parts of my business create anxiety?
- You know that one to-do that makes your chest tighten? Or that task that makes you sigh every time it shows up on your calendar?
What if I told you you shouldn’t do it?
Can you believe what you HATE doing, others LOVE doing? And they’re GOOD at it?
Write down the parts of your business that create anxiety (maybe this is social media, accounting, email marketing) and consider hiring out these tasks. By removing them from your to-do list, you are not only removing yourself of anxiety and letting others complete these tasks most likely better than you (sorry!), you’re also creating more energy and space for the work you’re good at. A win-win.
✨ 02 What gets me excited about a fresh year?
- Think about the New Year, new beginnings, for 2 minutes. How do you feel? I want you to pay attention to your excitement. What makes you feel excited? Perhaps it’s a potential client, perhaps it’s renewed enthusiasm for marketing, perhaps it’s a new product roll-out. No matter what it is, LISTEN to it.
Write these things down and refer to them when you’re planning your year. Yes, it’s important to serve your clients and keep money in the bank. But it is also majorly important to follow your inklings and where excitement takes you in your business.
✨ 03 What would my dream work-day look like?
- Put on your imagination hat for this one.
What would your DREAM work-day look like? If you could sleep until 10am, would you? If you could work for 4 hours, would that be appealing? If you could work in a home office, a coffeeshop, an office space, what would you do?
Envision that space, the timeline, the atmosphere in which you’re most satisfied and most productive. Now what can you do to get there?
Often times these solutions are easier than you think. Think outside of the norm and really figure out, how do YOU work best?
