Brookside Charter School students are getting a hands-on lesson in shaping the future of Kansas City. 🌿

This summer, incoming 7th and 8th graders partnered with KC Water to build a 3D model of planned green infrastructure improvements at Daniel Morgan Boone Park, part of the city's largest green infrastructure investment over the next decade.

Along the way, students worked with city staff and project professionals to learn about engineering, landscape architecture, community design, and sustainable stormwater management. Their completed model will be presented at a public meeting on July 30, helping neighbors better understand the upcoming park improvements.

KC Water is hosting an update presentation for the Town Fork Creek Green Infrastructure Project.

Join the project team to learn about design progress and share feedback on planned improvements at Daniel Morgan Boone Park. Attendees will also be able to view a 3D model of the park created this summer by Brookside Charter School students in partnership with KC Water, and meet the students who helped bring it to life!
