Starting with your July 2022 issue, the magazine you and your neighbors know and love, Island Living became Stroll Cane Island.

Stroll Cane Island is exclusive to the Cane Island community in Katy, TX "Delivering Neighborhood Connections" through sharing resident stories, photos, and happenings you’ve come to expect and enjoy. Across the nation, homeowners like you will be connected in the experience of living in a Stroll-worthy neighborhood. Through hyper-local, resident-submitted content, we create an avenue for these individuals to get to know local organizations, businesses, and their neighbors on a more personal level. Along with our print medium, we also provide digital avenues on which our residents can connect. The final component which makes us unique is the many events that we organize. Local restaurants, spas, salons, and more share their products and services in order to garner a face-to-face relationship with the residents of Cane Island, TX. There is no better way for a business to secure long-term success than to make the right connections.

Cane Island resident Catherine shares how finding an abandoned dog eventually led her to Belle’s Bud Rescue, where she fosters dogs, volunteers at adoption events, and helps support an organization that has helped 3,587 dogs and cats find safety, healing, and loving homes. 🐶

What started with two planter boxes during COVID has grown into six garden beds and a special gathering place for the Harrison family. 🥒

Alisha designed a garden where cucumbers climb an arch, winter carrots become a family competition, and fresh vegetables regularly make their way to neighbors and friends. She spends mornings there with coffee, hosts w**e nights with friends, and welcomes neighborhood kids to pick something fresh. 🥕

Her favorite garden tip is irrigation, which keeps every bed watered and makes maintaining the space easier. 🌿
