It’s me, Jessica.
If you don’t know, I am the owner/operator/maker of everything Frost+Fur. I grew up in Juneau, went to college for art in Washington, came back to Juneau for a couple years, then moved to California for 7 years.
At some point in my California journey I started working for a small silkscreening business called - they were incredible and I was given the opportunity to print a ton while I was with them, I got to watch them grow their business, hustle crazy hard, and be overall incredible business women. I was so inspired and thankful to get to be a part of their team and family the last few years I was there.
When I moved back home to Juneau my friend asked me to share a booth with her at the public market. I didn’t know what to do but let me borrow his printing space and conveyor dryer to print my first many handfuls of towels and that was it.
Fast forward 8 years and we have a store, my partner Cody is now printing some of the towels and about to start taking classes and will probably know more technical things than me soon, we have a beautiful daughter who inspires me to keep creating, and I am so happy to be a part of the art community in Juneau.
I hope to keep creating more process videos and share my love of the printing side of things in the future. If you got this far, thanks for supporting this business I didn’t know I have the guts to start.
