Teeswaters carry themselves with pride with their head held high. They are a polled breed with curly forelocks with brown, black and gray markings. The wool has a pearly luster and is a finer fiber than other long wools with uniform crimp that is consistent throughout the fleece. nal meat producer. Originating in Great Britain, the fleece ranges between 7-1/2 to 10 pounds with an average fiber diameter from 30 to 36 microns. Teeswaters average wool growth is an inch a month. With individual hanging locks, a smooth fiber shaft, and bright luster, a Teeswater in full fleece is an amazing animal and fiber artists seek Teeswater wool for unique spinning experiences, such as tail spinning and other novelty yarns. Hope everyone has majestic Teeswater lambs frolicking in their pasture. The TSSNA needs a new website. The webmaster for our current one isn't responding to the need for updates. If everyone could make sure their dues are paid, we can get a new website built. Go to this link http://www.teeswatersheep.org/ and go to the membership section and you can renew your membership online. If anyone can do a website or knows of someone who can, please let Kate know.

As our calendars are welcoming the fall season, I hope this finds the Teeswater breeders with plans on the 2021 lamb crop.

Both Kate Lowder and myself have had a lot on our plates for the past months, but now we are dedicated to promoting the fantastic Teeswater breed through the Teeswater Sheep Society of North America. The first task on our list is to get a new website up and running. The administrator of our current website quit communicating with us a couple years ago and requests for the passwords needed for us to update the website have gone unanswered. Therefore, we need to put together a new website. That takes money and we would appreciate it if members could pay their dues to Paypal at the link on the current Teeswater Sheep Society of North America website. Any dues paid prior to Jan 1, 2021 will count as dues for 2021.

A second issue Kate is having as our volunteer registrar, is extremely late registrations being submitted. Please follow the guidelines outlined in our bylaws when submitting registrations. If this isn’t followed we will have to add a substantial per head fee to late registered animals.

Lastly, we are looking to join the Shear Em to Save Em program as an association, so our membership can participate in that innovative program to promote Teeswater fiber and the breed.
