🚨PSA: For all the🎣Fishing Guides and Charters out there. Look...

Online booking is great and all, and for some people, it is by far preferred, but if you don't list a phone number or email address on your website, I can promise you 100% with data to back it up that you are missing a lot of business.

People might book anyway, but 🚨's go off in people's heads when you want them to book and put a deposit down up front, and you have no way to reach you listed on the site.

🤔We are often asked, "Are you really in Alaska?" A reasonable question, considering how many fake web design firms there are on Google listings that list Alaska as a "location" but aren't actually here🤥.

- They didn't grow up here
- They don't live in our communities,
- They talk about Alaskan cities like Castleoff, Nicklechick, Soldoltna, Pal-merr, Tawlkeetna, and Seaward
- They don't get the seasonalities of our state with the various fishing species seasons and runs, the fall colors, the hunting seasons in August through December, or where the Cruise ships land and how many of them.

So... reasonable question. Yes... We're in Alaska, and we've called it home for 30 years.

🚨 SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS - HEADS UP! 🚨

Getting 3+ calls a day from people claiming to be "Google" wanting to "activate your listing" or "set up voice search"? You're not alone.

These are SCAMS. Here's what to watch for:
❌ Urgent calls about "losing your Google ranking"
❌ "Limited time offers" to "claim your business listing"
❌ Demands for immediate payment or personal info
❌ Domain registration "renewal notices" from random companies
❌ Anyone claiming your website will "disappear" without their help

The real Google will NEVER cold call you about your business listing.

What to do instead:
✅ Hang up immediately
✅ Manage your Google Business Profile directly at business.google.com
✅ Only work with trusted, verified marketing professionals
✅When in doubt, ask for references and research the company
✅If you cant find their reviews, they are scamming people or, at best awful to work with.

These scammers are relentless, but the more people know what to look for, the less successful they'll be.
