Speaking about “Why You’re Dreading Networking (and what to do about it)” to the room full of incredible women at the Women's Business Connection of Chester County yesterday was the highlight of my week! And thank you for the inspiring convo Maria!

As I share our work with our local community, I get to meet powerhouses making an amazing impact. It fuels me and reminds me of the incredible support available. Linda of spoke powerfully today to Women's Business Connection, on how to make networking work. I got the gift of speaking to her after her powerful lecture and she named this brilliant thing about psychotherapy: strong people want strong therapists. Not burnout ones. Not ones struggling to make ends meet because they do not charge enough or are too busy. Impressed by this woman's business acumen and clarity on exactly what is needed to move a business forward (therapy businesses and beyond!) So grateful to get to rub elbows with whole embodied powerhouses.

�Ada stands for 3 key values that we believe are absolutely ✨crucial✨ in life and in business:

🩵 AUTHENTICITY - this is the beginning of everything. To live - and be accepted - in the truth of who you are is freedom. It’s a place of safety, where we can have clear boundaries, maintain healthy relationships, and make good decisions for ourselves. Things that are all needed in life AND in business.

💙 DIGNITY - living an intentional life where we recognize our own, and others, innate human worthiness. Without dignity, we fail to see the humanity in all. Without dignity, we give as a martyr and we receive with guilt.

💜 ABUNDANCE - to operate from a place of love and trust. It’s the idea that there is plenty in the world for all of us to take part of. It’s an awareness of what’s present rather than what’s absent. When I focus on what is aligned with my authentic self, I will end up receiving more than when I’m trying to catch it all or preventing someone else from getting it.

“I love what you ladies are doing, you have a great thing going on - but why don’t we seen you more?” 🤔

I was asked this question when doing a presentation at a lovely networking event the other day Innovative Networking Professionals-INP Kennett Square PA. It made me think of two things:�
1️⃣ We tend to feel like we’re more visible than we actually are

2️⃣ In-person interaction will ALWAYS make a bigger impression and last longer than anything else

So this is your sign to get out there and interact with your community. 🪧

The core of the human experience is our need for connection and relationships so it’s only logical that the same goes for business. 👥

This is usually very clear as you’re choosing your preferred hair stylist, landscaper, therapist, insurance broker, realtor, dentist, yoga studio, contractor etc - you’ll choose to work with someone who you not only trust will do a great job, but also you… like something about them. 🫶🏼

And because it’s really hard (not to mention expensive 💸) to build a relationship of trust and loyalty through paid marketing alone, we need to actually interact with people. Meet other business owners and potential clients/customers. Listen, learn, share, refer, inspire and be inspired. Create community. 👯

✨ Not only will the business come, you’ll also enjoy it more. ✨
