🚀 Did you know you can travel the solar system 🪐 right here in the Tri-Cities? And we got to design the passport that helps make the journey happen! 🌎

The Hanford Reach Solar System is a years-long project of SILAS Education and local students, in partnership with the REACH Museum and Visit Tri-Cities, Washington. This scale model of our planetary neighborhood is centered on the ☀️ 'Solar Arches' sculpture at the REACH Museum, with markers placed throughout the region representing the orbits of planets and other celestial bodies.

Explorers can take their Solar System Passport along for the journey, recording each stop and making a rubbing of the unique symbol found on each orbital marker. Complete the journey and take your finished passport to one of the participating Prize Partners to receive a special souvenir.

We had a lot of fun developing and designing the passport to bring the whole experience together — part field guide, part activity book, and part keepsake for exploring our corner of the solar system. And we designed the prize souvenirs as well.

Participating communities include City of Richland Government, City of Kennewick Government, City of West Richland Government, City of Benton City, and City of Prosser Government.

🎲 Luck be a lady this weekend!

We’re wishing our friends at Yes& Productions a fantastic opening weekend of Guys & Dolls, starting this Friday!

We had a great time designing the poster artwork for the show, and we’re excited to see it come to life on stage.

Of course, every big gamble has a wild card. The wildfire smoke may have forced their hand, moving them from the outdoor stage to an indoor venue—but the show goes on!

Break a leg to the entire cast and crew. Here’s to a full house and a great run! 🎭🎲

🪼🐠 A community college with an Aquarium Science program?! 🐡🦀🐙

That's just one of the many unique programs you'll discover on the newly launched website we created for Oregon Coast Community College, serving Lincoln City, Newport, and Waldport, Oregon.

Their existing website had grown over time, making it difficult to organize information and maintain a consistent look that reflected their brand. We worked alongside their team to simplify the site structure, consolidate content, and create a flexible system of modular page templates that are easy to use today and ready to grow with them in the future.

The result is a cleaner, more consistent website that helps students, staff, and the community find what they need while making it easier for the college to keep the site updated.

Yes& Productions made a big announcement at their fantastic "Party in the USA" concert on July 3: "Les Misérables" will be their Summer 2027 production!

We were sworn to absolute secrecy as we created this new take on the classic image of Cosette for the teaser poster. We also printed the large version they unveiled live on stage to the cheers of the crowd. Looking forward to August 2027!

Sometimes the Best Website is the One You Already Have...

When we first built the Murray's Drug website in 2018, it provided a solid design that held up well. But like many long-established businesses, Murray's had added services over the years that weren't getting the visibility they deserved—either from website visitors or in search results.

So instead of redesigning the site from scratch, we renovated it.

The updated website features improved navigation, stronger service content, better location information, and greater visibility for services like floral, gifts, over-the-counter products, and the coffee shop at the Heppner location.

The result is a website that feels familiar to existing customers while doing a much better job of connecting visitors with everything Murray's has to offer.

Artmil in the Wild...
Made a quick run to Yoke's Fresh Market in Pasco this weekend and stopped to admire this display of J Bookwalter W**es in support of TROT (Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities).

A portion of sales from select Bookwalter w**es at Yoke's during May and June will de donated to support TROT's great work, so it's a good time to stock up for those summer get-togethers (and you know...Mondays 😉).

Artmil designed, printed and foam-core mounted the display posters for each of the Tri-Cities Yoke's locations.

Whenever we create show artwork for Yes& Productions, there's always a tune or two running through our heads. Any guess which song was on continuous repeat for this one? (We see you over there. . .nodding your head like "yeah." 😎)

And thanks to a partnership with the City of Richland Government, this community celebration 250 years in the making is now FREE!

For this project with local artist Dean Wattenburger, our goal wasn’t simply to make a copy—it was to create reproductions that honored the original artwork.

Project details:
✓ High-resolution art scanning of 20" x 28" original
✓ Color correction and proofing
✓ Full-size archival printing
✓ Velvet fine art paper for rich detail and longevity

We produced an edition of 10 prints from the original. The texture and subtle detail are difficult to capture in a photo, but side-by-side, the results speak for themselves.
