After careful consideration, brainstorming, speaking at length with family and close friends, and definitely some tearful conversation… I have ultimately decided to close the doors to The Design Booth.

This wasn’t an easy decision. In fact, I have been thinking about this for a while… even wayyyy before the post I made yesterday.

To every client who used my services… thank you. The fact that I made an impact on you and your business means the world to me!

To my family and friends… thank you so much for being my biggest supporters and loving me behind the scenes.

To everyone with an open project… I will be completing those. Do not worry! I would never leave ya hangin’!

To every creative and every artist… DO NOT let a stupid robot take your job! Fight to keep artists and art alive and REAL. Do not fall into the trap that AI will enhance your life. Keep thinking for yourself. Keep creating. Keep writing. Keep reading. Keep sprinkling joy and color into this world! We can’t lose this beautiful planet to robots!

And I couldn’t say good bye without letting everyone know that I’m okay! And I’m moving on to something I know will bring me great joy!

I’m going to be a little vulnerable… because I owe this to myself.

We’re a community that has been hit by two floods, and now these ugly ChatGPT flyers are taking over our entire feeds and AI logos are around every corner. For someone who makes a living being creative, it’s getting really hard to compete… unfortunately.

We preach “shop local” and “support small businesses,” but to be very honest, The Design Booth isn’t going to make it much longer like this. And that makes me sad.

I don’t need sympathy… but I need my community. So if you need branding, a website, graphics, print, or you know someone who does, send them my way.

Let’s keep creativity and art alive. And let’s actually support ALL small businesses in our community. ❤️

Three for Good is our new pro bono program for non profits. If you’re a registered non profit in our community doing meaningful work and you need our services, visit our Three for Good page on the website!
Read the page, follow the steps, download the application, and send it back to us! We are taking applications for our first round until October 1st!

Three times a year, I'm selecting one nonprofit to receive branding, print, or website design at no cost. Round one starts now, and I'm looking for an organization doing real, meaningful work in our community.

Working on the rebrand for Nu Accents Upscale Resale Boutique since the flood! Show them some love!

This is the first look at where Nu Accents is headed: a refreshed identity for the next chapter.

The flood took a lot from us, but it also gave us the chance to rebuild with more intention. This new look reflects that. More is coming soon, including our reopening details. Thank you for staying with us through all of it.

Unfortunately, no. There is no web design, graphic design, business branding, or marketing category. We hope one of these categories will be added in the future! 🖤🖤🖤 but thank you for thinking of us!

Three years. I still can't believe it.

Three years of designing logos, building brands, creating websites, and yes, for those of you who have noticed, getting behind a camera too. What started as a passion for small businesses and a desire to bring something different to the design world has grown into something I am so incredibly proud of.

I started The Design Booth because I believed that small businesses deserve great branding. Not cookie-cutter designs, not rushed work, but intentional, strategic design that actually reflects who they are. That belief has not changed. If anything, it has only grown stronger.

To every client who has trusted me with their brand, their business, and their vision, thank you. Genuinely. You are the reason this studio exists and the reason I love showing up every single day. Watching your businesses grow is the best part of this work.

I also want to take a moment to celebrate someone who has become an essential part of what The Design Booth is today. Heather joined me almost two years ago as my business manager, and this studio would not be what it is without her. She keeps things running, keeps me on track, and makes it possible for me to focus on the creative work I love. Heather, thank you for everything.
