As a Ketchikan small business, we believe it's our responsibility to provide a positive economic impact within our own community. Alaska is jam-packed full of creative spirit, and its artists and entrepreneurs create a wide-array of high-quality, thoughtfully-produced artwork and goods well-worth sharing with friends, neighbors, and visitors.
We source the majority of our on-board gift shop items from Alaska, if not directly from Ketchikan, with only a few exceptions (SEE: plush eagles). It's particularly fun to share with guests that the gear they're purchasing was not just printed here locally (Pacific Printing) but designed by members of our crew (Capt Kelsey McNeil, Deckhand Beaux June Fletcher) - or that the earrings they're purchasing were hand-made by Haida artist Tory M Shultz (Awàa Collective) - or that the sticker or photo print is the work of former crew members and artists Mads Wolf or Armstrongest Photography - or that the pantry items available all include elements directly from the Alaskan land and sea (Barnacle Foods Chugach Chocolates Alaska Birch Syrup & Wild Harvest Products).
