Google is testing two versions of content: Quick Read and 5 Min. Read. It’s pretty much the opposite of how Google used to highlight in-depth articles (R.I.P., 2013-2019).
Again, this is only an important test. So don’t start editing your content to get the label in the hopes of getting more click-throughs. It’s Google. Labels will come and go. But it’s a good reminder that your content should be as only long as it needs to be. Shorter content can be helpful content, just as long-form content can.
