First Lieutenant Harold Kuppinger, from Owasco, tragically lost his life on May 4, 1945, at the age of 28, during the Battle of Okinawa. He succumbed to his wounds aboard the hospital ship USS Mercy. This ship faced frequent air raids and threats of kamikaze attacks while at Okinawa.

Harold was survived by his wife Evelyn, two sons, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kuppinger, and two brothers. Services were held for him at Sand Beach Church in Fleming, and he is buried in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn. Harold Kuppinger received the Purple Heart and the Medal of Valor for his service.

Limited Service Information: A fire at the National Personnel Records Center in 1973 unfortunately destroyed much of Harold’s service record. His family is aware that he was recruited from engineering school to work on radar platforms, but it remains a mystery how he ended up in combat.

Sacrifices and their Impact: The sacrifice of soldiers like Harold had a profound impact on their families and future generations. Harold’s children never had the chance to meet their father, highlighting the lasting impact of his loss.

We assemble our products in Arizona unlike Chinese competitors. Their products come right off a boat already assembled & packaged for retail.

One of the last steps in the manufacturing process is branding the products. When products come from China they are already branded with whatever “Brand” purchased them. It’s as easy as looking at a menu of products, ordering & sending them the artwork. When you make something in America you usually do the work; after all it’s your Brand. 🇺🇸
