Every year, our client, Sea Port Products, celebrates Lunar New Year by inviting the Lion Dancers into their offices to usher in good fortune, prosperity, and joy while driving away evil spirits and negative energy. The lions eat lettuce and collect red envelopes, symbolizing the gathering of wealth and fortune.

This is the Year of the Fire Horse, which signifies a high-energy, fast-paced period focused on independence, adventure, and major transformation. The Fire Element (2026) intensifies the horse’s energy, making this specific year (occurring every 60 years) exceptionally dynamic, passionate, and often turbulent or transformative!

When planning a quick getaway, travelers typically start with a simple search: what’s near me? For the City of Kirkland, WA, we used that idea as the foundation for a digital campaign designed to reach audiences within Washington state who were searching for a local, meaningful escape.

D2 developed the messaging strategy, creative, and landing experience for the "near me" campaign to promote local tourism and hotel stays during their shoulder seasons. We grounded the messaging in Kirkland’s lakeside charm, boutique stays, family activities, arts scene and wine tasting, and created a unified story that feels close by, welcoming, and elevated.

We had a blast designing and producing the "Golden Age of Travel" theme for the Northwest Seaport Alliance's annual customer reception and North Star Awards! We created a full suite of materials including emails, landing pages, signs, and animations that brought the theme to life. We even created raffle tickets designed to look like a 1950s boarding pass. Look for more of our work as NWSA honors the award recipients throughout the year.

A big congratulations to the NWSA team on another incredible and successful event at Seattle’s Museum of Flight. We loved being a part of it!

At this year’s WSTA Public Transportation Conference & Vendor Expo, D2 had the opportunity to present a unique tool we developed in collaboration with our client, WTA (Whatcom Transportation Authority): a board game designed to simplify and humanize the complexities of transit service planning.

With stackable blocks to represent bus frequency and a magnetic scoreboard to visualize trade-offs in real-time, board members were able to experience firsthand the tension between expanding ridership and ensuring geographic equity, all while working within resource constraints.

The goal? Help decision-makers better understand the realities of service allocation.

It was an honor to share this work publicly at WSTA 2025 in SeaTac and even better to see it spark meaningful conversation.

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) has once again been selected as the leading West Coast port in the 42nd Annual Quest for Quality Awards by Logistics Management. They received the highest overall rating among West Coast ports with top scores in three of the five categories.
