It Takes a Village to Make a Home

The chance to improve someone else's life only comes around occasionally. That's why we jumped at it when we saw the chance to create a forever home for some of our friends!

Several potential neighbors came by, but the fixer-upper wasn't what they sought, so we launched a complete redo! After detailed research, we were ready to debut the brand new home designed for the perfect couple, but try as we might, we didn't have the strength or the tools to finish the job!

Then we got a tip from one of our human neighbors and teamed up with Shane Clark Construction to get the job done! After hearing our story, scheduling with Shane was a breeze. He just said: "How about now?" and before we knew it, the crew was lifting our tiny home onto it's foundation!

Thank you, Shane and crew! You guys are the best!

Now all we have to do is wait for the right family to come along and make OBX their forever home, just like we did for ourselves last October.

Oh, and as for Shane? All we can say is that when he says 'Now,' you need to put on your slippers, move the cars, or do whatever you need to do because his idea of 'now' is really RIGHT NOW!!
