•Marty Liquori - USA Olympian Runner & American Record Holder to Musician•
Marty Liquori rose to fame when he became the third American high schooler to break the four-minute mile by running a 3:59.8 in 1967, three years after Jim Ryun first did it.
Marty eventually became an Olympic distance runner, American record holder, author, track and field announcer/show host, and multi-hall of famer…and musician.
I enjoyed working with Marty on several occasions in the production of his ESPN television program, “Running & Racing,” especially during the weeklong USTAF Olympic Track & Field Trials in 1992 in New Orleans.
