Rose Gold is an interesting new age color... a little gold, a little silver and smattering of pink and copper. A successful corporate identity is all about consistency. Without it, your brand perception runs the risk of being at best diluted, or worse, appearing chaotic and unprofessional.

But it’s not enough to just have a logo sit on your website and brochures. An extensive corporate identity system integrates not only your logo, but also typefaces and corporate colors, across multiple media formats.
Websites, social media profiles, business cards, trade show peripherals, stationery, packaging, PowerPoint® presentations, literature, signage, promo materials … well, you get the idea … they all need to have consistent usage styles and appearances that communicate
your brand.

The impact of immediately recognizable communications, across as many formats as possible, is what gives familiarity to your audience, and ultimately distinction from other brands. Consistent graphic treatments create a company’s (or brand’s) signature.

If your corporate identity could use a tune-up, give us a call. We have the tools and skills to assess your brand and implement consistency across the board to help you better connect with your customers.

Are You Guilty of Piecemeal Marketing?

A piecemeal marketing approach is usually not wise or cost-effective, no matter how limited your budget may be. Powerful marketing is integrated marketing. And integrated marketing starts with an in-depth look at what you are doing (or not doing), and asking the all-powerful question, “Why?”

Even if a business colleague has gotten great results with a specific marketing tactic, that same activity may not translate to success for your business. Especially when you don’t take into account the entire marketing scope. And while your current marketing efforts may not necessarily be off the mark, you’re likely only accessing the tip of the iceberg in terms of your marketing potential if you work on a project-by-project basis.
We’re not talking about high-budget campaigns that you can’t afford. There are approaches you may not be aware of, or strategies you haven’t thought of, that can easily (and cost effectively) be implemented right now to improve your marketing. It’s all about the smart usage of your marketing dollars.

If you are serious about your business and want to build your customer base while increasing your market share, it can’t happen one piece at a time. It requires an integrated, well-thought-out plan to set you apart.

The Case for Ad Frequency

In order to stay top of mind, you need to build your brand deep in the mind of your prospects. The best way to do that: frequent exposure.

Running an ad once doesn’t cut it. It never has. Audiences are constantly bombarded with media messages, and studies show it can take anywhere from five to 15 exposures for a viewer to merely recognize a company and its product or service. Let alone buy into the message.

That’s because for the most part people ignore the hundreds of daily media messages they receive. And when they do take note, they usually forget. Or if they are paying attention, often they don’t need what’s being offered right then. That’s why it's important that you remain in the media mix and make your presence known.

Trying to advertise once or twice is not really trying at all. It’s not even a crumb of what is needed in order to reach an audience with your message. Yet companies do this all the time —“We’ll try one ad and see how it goes...” — and then they are baffled by the results, start playing the blame game, and wonder why they spent the money in the first place.

Don’t fall into the one-and-done advertising trap. Conway Marketing can help you make your presence known. Call 800.882.7875 for more information or contact us by email at [email protected].

Take the Pulse of Your Customers!

Not too many things today are as quick as social media. If there's a scandal, a gripe, or a funny meme, it will flash around the globe at the speed of light. It’s just the world we live in today.

Some companies monitor their accounts 24/7 and quickly delete negative comments. Other companies try to engage their detractors and turn lemons into lemonade. But both strategies have one thing in common. ACTION. Keeping up a social media presence is NOT a part time job to be sloughed off on an intern. In fact, it's one of the most important jobs at the company. Why? Well consider this:

Companies today live and die by customer satisfaction ratings associated with their products and services, IN REAL TIME. In the past, surveys and other tools were employed to gauge the product effectiveness or mood of the market. It took weeks or months to gather the data and analyze it. But thanks to social media, that data is proudly displayed for all the world to see as it happens.

Smart companies don’t delete this negative feedback; they engage it and learn from it. If customers keep complaining of poor product performance or slow shipping, it sends up a huge red flag that the claim must be investigated, and quickly. This saves companies literally millions of dollars in corrective lag time and consumer research.

So don’t sweep all negative comments from your social media. Address it and follow up with it. If it was trolling, delete it. But if an issue is indeed found, own up to it and TELL folks about how it was corrected. This can help solidify your reputation with your customers and do wonders for your brand’s street cred.

The Pantone Color Institute unveiled its PANTONE Color of the Year 2017 as Greenery (PANTONE 15-0343). During the announcement, the selected color was described as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore, and renew.”

Pantone’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, said “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the hope we collectively yearn for now. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate, revitalize, and unite, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and a larger purpose.”

As nature’s neutral shade, Greenery conveys a reassuring calm with an assertive vibrancy. It's expected to provide a natural complement to a wide range of palettes in a variety of markets. Greenery should provide a pop of color in high-tech wearables and fashion accessories, while also reflecting the outdoors within household décor. We predict the eye-catching Greenery will be utilized in packaging design to present a fresh, harmonious approach.

When developing a new branding strategy, the colors that are chosen play an often underestimated role in how appealing a brand is to new customers. At Conway Marketing, our creative team has decades of experience keeping brands fresh and current with the times. Visit us at www.conwaymktg.com to learn more.
