I was a Girl Scout in California. Group 599. The picture on the left was me (Brownie), volunteering at BOOKS for the BARRIOS with my troop in 2008.
Today - I'm raising money to help the next-gen of Girl Scouts.
I believe learning the practice of "giving back" to your community & world at a young age makes you a cheerful giver as an adult.
That's why I am raising money for Girl Scout Scholarships. Your support would mean the world to me & the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians 😊 VOTE/ Donate here: https://secure.qgiv.com/.../thegreatcook.../account/2240472/
Local civic & economic engagement in young women is critically important to our community's future.
Girl Scouts raises the next generation of female leaders.
That's not my opinion. That's rooted in fact.
📌 Girl Scouts is the largest women-led entrepreneurship organization in the WORLD 🌍
📌 53% of female business owners are former Girl Scouts.
📌 86% of GS alums are registered to vote.
📌 84% of GS alums currently hold leadership roles. WOAH!
The list goes on... and on...
To support the next-gen, I'm supporting the Girl Scouts in the Great Cookie Competition to raise money for local scholarships.
$1 = 1 vote.
One scholarship (membership, vest, patches) is $85.
My goal is $3,000, which would help support 35 local girls enroll in Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians troops. Anything helps!
If you have it in your heart, I would appreciate your support of this organization that I care deeply about ❤️
