Meet Spencer Ford! 🎓 Spencer graduated from the PR program in 2022 with a minor in Business Administration. As a student, she was actively involved in campus organizations—serving on the PRSSA executive board and as the Recruitment and Retention Manager for The Keystone 📰. She also worked in the Communications Department and tutored peers in various public relations courses.📚 During her senior year, Spencer interned with Comcast, which led to her current role as an Employee Communications Specialist at the company. In her position, she keeps employees informed through weekly newsletters and other internal PR initiatives. She enjoys the variety her job offers and the opportunity to do something different each day. Spencer encourages students to “not compare yourself to others and their success. Just because you didn’t get the job you wanted doesn’t mean you won’t land a great opportunity.” ✨

Meet Zabrina Zulaica! 🎓

Zabrina graduated from the PR program in 2022. While at KU, she served as secretary of the Public Relations Student Society of America and interned with the Small Business Development Center as a social media marketing intern, gaining valuable experience in content creation and social media writing.📱✍️

After graduation, Zabrina applied her skills to various roles before landing her current position as an account coordinator at Haute in Texas. She enjoys agency life since it allows her to work across different industries. Her clients range from breweries 🍻 to lawyers ⚖️ and authors 📚, helping them with everything from social media content to pitch writing.

Zabrina’s advice for students is to stay on top of trends and don’t let rejection discourage you—there’s an opportunity out there that’s right for you! 🌟

Yesterday, Grace and Megan represented The Agency at the Kutztown Strand Theatre for Strand Struck: A Night of Magic with Denny Corby and special guest Teri Granahan. The evening was full of laughter, wonder, and unforgettable magic. 🪄

Meet Ashlee Pearson! 🎓

Ashlee graduated from the PR program in 2022 with a minor in Social Media Theory & Strategy.

As a student, Ashlee honed her skills through campus involvement, participating in the United Greek Council, Presidential Ambassadors, Model UN, and more.

Today, Ashlee serves as the Director of Development at United Way, where she develops and executes fundraising initiatives and builds relationships with corporate partners and community leaders. In her role, she has helped raise over $1 million for 22 nonprofits centering around community, education, health care, and basic needs.

Her advice for students is to start early, network, and be confident—you know more than you think!

Our work with Kutztown Community Partnership and the Kutztown Strand Theatre has been such a rewarding experience for students and the community, and we can’t wait to continue our efforts moving forward.
