What does it take to keep moving forward when life throws its toughest challenges your way?

In the latest episode of 608 Soundcheck, I sit down with local singer-songwriter Allison Sky to talk about her battle with chronic Lyme disease, how music helped her through some of her darkest moments, and the inspiration behind her new EP, Behind This Smile.

We also dive into her songwriting process, her experiences performing throughout the La Crosse area, and how she hopes her music can encourage others who may be facing struggles of their own.

Listen now and get to know one of the area’s rising voices in the local music scene.

This past weekend I got to take part in a great event MOSH FOR JESS

I made a goal for myself to go and produce one music video for each of the 8 bands there for free in support of them coming out to raise money for Jess.

This is the first of those music videos. A SICK band I got to meet called chaosbreedschaos

Follow them on Instagram and pick up their new EP on bandcamp!

Got to play a set with The Over Unders last weekend in Eau Claire! Got to catch some of their set before I headed back to La Crosse and snapped some photos!

Tried a bit of a fun edit on these guys and liked how they turned out. 😁

LA CROSSE AREA MUSICIANS!

I had a blast in the La Crosse Film Academy 48 Hour Film Festival recently, and it got me thinking about how much I actually enjoy making music videos!

Having to plan, shoot, and finish a full video in under 48 hours kind of pushed me to realize I can do these a lot faster than I thought.

So I’m looking to start working with more bands on music videos and photo shoots.

Simple process. We come up with an idea, shoot over a weekend, and I can have something back to you in a couple days.

If you’ve got a song you’ve been wanting to bring to life, let’s talk!

I would love and appreciate a share to any other musician friends as well :)
