We finally gave our portfolio section on the website a much-needed update.

You know… that thing where you spend all your time working on everyone else’s websites and never your own? Yeah. That. 🤪

We added some recent projects, refreshed a few older ones, and pulled together a mix of websites, branding, marketing pieces, and creative work we’ve been building lately.

Today is National Notebook Day, which honestly feels very us.

Because before the polished websites, branding, and social posts… there are usually pages full of notes, doodles, random ideas, crossed-out headlines, and “wait… what if we tried this?”

Creative work rarely starts perfectly.

Sometimes it starts with coffee and a notebook.
Sometimes it starts with a zillion tabs open and pure determination.

(We’re definitely guilty of both. 🤫)

It's Tax Day.

Which usually means you've spent at least a little time looking through numbers, expenses, and everything your business has been doing behind the scenes.

And honestly... it's not the worst reminder.

Because your website should be doing some behind-the-scenes work too.

Helping people understand what you do.

Answering questions before they even reach out.

Bringing in the kind of inquiries you actually want.

If your website feels more like something you have instead of something that's helping you grow, it might be worth a closer look.

Today is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day, and we kind of love that. Because honestly, everyone deserves a few extra holidays of their own.

Maybe it’s a day to finally tackle something you’ve been putting off. Or a day to celebrate a win, big or small....Or even just a day to step away, breathe for a minute… and grab another cup of coffee. (We need to take our own advice on that one, the stepping away part. We're always good at grabbing coffee!)

We gave our services page a little update… not because we added anything new, but because we finally caught it up to what we’ve actually been doing.

Over time, we’ve grown and expanded how we work with clients, and somewhere along the way, our website just didn’t quite keep up.

So we took a step back, cleaned things up, and made sure it actually reflects the full picture of how we help.
It feels a lot more accurate now… and honestly, a lot more helpful for anyone landing there.

If your business has evolved over the years, there’s a good chance your website might need the same kind of attention.

When someone lands on a page of your website, they should never have to wonder what to do next.

Should they call you?
Schedule something?
Learn more?
Buy something?

A good website gently points people in the right direction. Without that next step, most visitors just click away. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in how a website actually works for your business.

It’s National Grammar Day, which feels like a good time for a small confession. Hi, I’m (Jamie), the word nerd at Nerdette.

I’m the one that loves reading and revising website copy, tightening up headlines, fixing commas, and asking the question, “But what are you actually trying to say here?”

A website can look amazing, but if the words are confusing or trying to say too much, visitors leave before they ever figure out what you do.

That’s also why Colleen and I work so well together.

I’m the word nerd.
She’s the visual nerd.
She makes things beautiful.
I make sure the message actually makes sense.

And when those two things come together, that’s when a website really works.
