When it comes to having a mission statement, whether you are a small business, large business, or a solo-entrepreneur, you must have a mission.
If people don’t know who you are, what you do, and what you’re all about, you can’t expect them to do business with you.
It has to more than a statement! It has to be the foundation of why you do what you do!
Without a mission you can’t lead people.
If you can’t lead people you will never attract an exceptional team.
Recently as a solo-entrepreneur, I had to redefine my mission, and I wanted to share my redefining moment with you.
Here are 2 simple steps you can take to see if you need to redefine your mission.
If you want to help others, you must first help yourself.
What’s the most effective way to do this? Investing time in yourself. Asking simple and profound questions. Think about “Who you are,” and “What you stand for.”
When you gain clarity on who you are and what you stand for, you will weather the trials every entrepreneur must withstand during their first decade of business. (That’s what my mentor has expressed to me. You’re welcome)
As you grow and achieve your goals as an entrepreneur, you can’t forget your mission!
This is imperative if you want long-term success instead of small blips of significance.
Get to know yourself so you can maintain high levels of focus, and not get distracted by shiny objects that will desire your attention.
Always add value to the people you serve, and constantly think about how you can add more value. (Sounds like a never ending process doesn’t it)
Contribution is the gateway to the success that you desire as an entrepreneur, teacher, coach, dad, student, etc.
But as an entrepreneur, if you don’t increase the value of your clients, they can’t reciprocate more value to you.
So, what are you going to contribute to the world.
How can you give more of what you do, based on your mission, your current situation, and future aspirations?
These two questions helped me unlock a new side of myself that I never realized existed.
It shifted my perspective, and caused me too think deeper about what I want to, love to do, and why I am doing it.
How do I define my mission?
Helping entrepreneurs construct simple processes to move their product or service from concepts to customers.
Helping entrepreneurs create and capture momentum in their business, and increase their value to customers!
Adding immense value by assisting entrepreneurs with content development for an online brand that resonates with their audience, and effectively spreads their message.
That may seem like a lot, but when you read it carefully, it’s profoundly simple.
Simple is vital, because there is power in simplicity!
Now it’s your turn...
