“What happens when the 21 Year Old CEO turns 22?”

For the last year I’ve talked to so many of you and the question always comes up...

Well, the day finally came today and here’s my quick explanation:

🗣The idea behind the 21 Year Old CEO is that no matter how old you are or what stage of life you’re in you can start your own business.

I started mine at the age of 20 and officially had three by the age of 21.

I had a lot of people tell me I’d never be taken seriously in this industry and that only people with degrees and years of experience under their belt succeed.

Well, I’m here to tell you that none of that is true.

I don’t care if you’re 16, 30, 50, or 70, you can do anything you set your mind to and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Long story short.... 21 Year Old CEO is here to stay.

Now, if you need me I’ll be spending the rest of the day at the beach enjoying being a 22 Year Old CEO! đŸ„ł

I was one of those people who never saw the need to invest in my business because I thought I had it all figured out.

I was making money, getting clients, and outsourcing
. So in my mind, I thought I was doing just fine. Then I realized I could be doing a whole lot more with my business than what I currently had going on.

But I never actually made the leap of faith to do it. I had spent thousands on my clothing company, and thousands on my marketing company, but never a dime on my coaching business.

Part of that was because of my disliking for the industry and that I never thought a coach could truly bring the success I needed (yikes!!!!). I also had zero trust in any coach so far and to be honest, I thought they were all scammers 😳 But holy crap I was wrong. Turns out there are some kick ass coaches (hey Jen, Emily, Roselle, and Krista).

After months of trying to put my coaching program together with no luck, I decided it was time to quit wasting time and hire an expert because we can’t all be an expert at everything.

Once I hired my launch coach, I finally had clarity on my program, learned some new sales skills, and have ALREADY made my money back with my first coaching launch.

My point in this story is I was the ULTIMATE skeptic. I never believed anyone’s results were real or that coaching worked, but when I finally invested in my business it ended up being one of the best decisions I ever made.

Not only do I benefit from it financially, but my clients benefit too because I have more time to spend on them and their businesses.

BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS DOESN’T HAVE TO BE HARD!💾

Imagine this: you wake up in the morning, do your morning routine, meet with your coach (me *cough* *cough*), do some client work, and then have the rest of the day off. You brought on 3 new clients that week, had a successful onboarding, and your team got to work.

Sounds nice, right? Well I guarantee that many of you are not quite experiencing such ease yet. I imagine the routine goes, wake up, quickly try to post on IG, work on client work, and spend the rest of the day trying to get new clients off of IG or wherever you find them.

Which day sounds better? Probably the first one!

Well the cool thing is you can have the first routine in no time. You don’t have to wait until you’re making $10k months to be at that point in your business. Because building and growing a successful business doesn’t have to be hard when you’re willing to accept the help of a coach.

My first coaching client was in a similar industry as me and is a freakin EXPERT at what she does. But she was overworked, overwhelmed, and had no idea what direction to take her two businesses. The thought of bringing on a coach was a little weird because she was supposed to be the expert right?

After she released the thought that having a coach was a “bad” thing, her business has completely transformed. Her engagement on IG went up, she’s having meaningful conversations with potential clients and signing them with ease. She’s outsourcing and has all her sh*t figured out, AND she’s gearing up to quit her 9-5.

All it took was for her to invest in me and then she stepped into her badass CEO role. If you’re wondering if hiring a coach is the next step, it probably is. You’ll have constant support and someone to bounce ideas off of, as well as the good feeling of knowing your business is in good hands.

Alright, let’s just cut to the chase here. I see so many service providers missing out on clients because they are on the wrong platforms. Sounds silly right? But you’d be surprised how common it really is.

Allow me to provide an example. You have a service provider who specializes in social media marketing and management. She makes amazing content on Instagram but can’t seem to connect with her ideal client, which happens to be small to large businesses.

No matter how many times a day she posts or how many DMs she sends, the people on Instagram are not transitioning into clients. But why? Is it that she has no sales strategy? Is it because her content sucks? NO!

It’s because she’s on the wrong platform. Her ideal clients are sitting on LinkedIn. She should be connecting with key roles in those businesses and providing expert-advice! She should be making text posts and shareable graphics that help get the word out about her.

#1 You’re spending too much time on tasks that don’t make you money!! Think of it this way
 you spend hours trying to make a graphic in canva or learning everything there is to know about email marketing. And while education is important, there are probably a ton of other things you need to be doing like getting potential clients on the phone or showing up on instagram! Think of all the time you’ve been wasting on tasks that a talented VA or designer can handle

#2 You’re using up all of your creative energy! Yes, creative energy is extremely important to reserve. It’s what gives you all your best ideas that take your business to the next level (like building out your service offerings).

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO 6-FIGURES? 💰

Technically, a lot. But, today I wanted to focus on something very specific that is absolutely vital to reaching 6-figures.

First, let me start with a fun fact: It is anywhere from 5 to 25 times more expensive to acquire new customers than it is to keep customers. But, why is that? Well, it’s simple! Your existing customers don’t require paid ads, email marketing, or other acquisition methods. đŸ–„đŸ—Ł

So how does this pertain to scaling to 6-figures? Well, your existing customers are the secret key to the magic that is $100,000. They are going to lay the foundation for your recurring income that you can “count on” every month. They are going to be the channel for high-quality referrals and testimonials! 💾

What you need to do is give your customers the BEST experience possible. This means shifting focus away from solely trying to acquire customers, and putting that towards getting your existing ones to stay.

The customer experience can really make or break your business and prevent you from being a revolving door of clients. Here is how you can improve your customer experience TODAY:

1. Check-in frequently (Can be via email or phone! But the phone is better)
2. Only provide services you know you can be successful at
3. Have a smooth onboarding process (make it easy to start working with you!)
