Dan Davis is heading back to the area as the new South Central Calhoun CSD high school principal after years working in Alaska, Arkansas, and Las Vegas. Superintendent Brad Anderson said Davis stood out during interviews for his energy and passion for SCC.

The American Legion will be putting up flags this Friday at 1 p.m. at the cemetery. Any help would be appreciated.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day services on Monday will be:
9:15 a.m. — Cottonwood
10 a.m. — Lanesboro
11 a.m. — Lake City

Flags will be taken down Monday at 2 p.m.

South Central Calhoun seniors Iris Melody and Jace Pedersen, along with junior Tristin Gorden, are set to represent the Titans at the Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships this week at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
