Destiny is the 24-year-old daughter of LCPD Lt. Andy Miles, and she was a 5-year employee of the City of Lake City through May of 2020. Destiny has been struggling with an aggressive form of Crohn's Disease. In October of 2020, she developed an additional undiagnosed illness. As a result, Destiny has now developed problems with her liver, thyroid, and kidneys. Destiny has required hospitalization several times per month since October, and the time spent out of the hospital she mostly spends in the emergency room.

With help from some recent community efforts, the family raised the initial $5,000 deposit required to get her into the Mayo Clinic. Expenses for travel, lodging, and an additional deposit remain a hardship for the family. Destiny is unable to work, and the family has been assisting with living expenses. Join us in supporting Destiny-your contribution is greatly appreciated.
